Update? |
GC wins 14-8. Refs made themselves known in the second half with some questionable cards. My first time seeing a card for a hold. |
Refs made the 2nd half painful to watch |
GC dominated and earned it. SJC Freshmen showed a ton of nerves. When SJC got personnel right in 4th quarter it was unfortunately way too late. |
Saints has not won a tournament title (ISL or VISAA) since 2022. VISAA should up ticket prices for the likely SSSAS vs. Potomac semi-final game. Both teams are desperate for a title. Saints going through a 3-year tournament banner drought (when was the last time that happened?). Potomac with a loaded team of '25 recruits who have never been able to deliver and make the final big game. Should be a death match between 2 very talented teams. |
Are these frosh equivalent to the magnificent 7 at battlefield? |
Who’s Battlefield? |
Potomac has to get by a talented and very well coached PVI squad before they can take on the likely state champ Saints. |
Outcomes will be determined based on whether or not coaches focus on favorites, or the good of the entire team. This applies to every top VIISA team. And ISL team. It’s been the driving factor of most losses. |
VISAA |
I've never seen a high school girls team get so many yellow cards. The refs were horrible and honestly it was painful to watch the struggle through the game. One sided calls. |
What war? |
GC didnt care. the game was over in the 1st. refs couldn't do anything to change the outcome. |
Same could be said for WCAC where many of the top team coaches play favored bigger physical girls with less talent, stick skills, and speed than many of their talented skilled high IQ players. Unfortunately Coaches are human and can overthink sometimes and forget "for the good of the team" in favor of "matchups". |
Potomac played PVI earlier in the season and easily beat them 12-6 with the Potomac bench playing the entire second half. |
