Don't watch Geico or NCAA today. The DC Championships will be a pretty fun event. I bet its a Covid only thing. Despite PVI's loss to Episcopal, I bet all the games are pretty good. SJC v SSAS may be only exception. GZ has that crazy LSM that can maybe win some 50/50 balls to overcome Prep Fogo domination. Looking forward to the games for sure since there was no WCAC playoffs. |
| The top public schools such as Robinson, Madison, Battlefield, Yorktown, Patriot have basically been playing glorified scrimmages this spring. The real games start this week when the top teams start to match up. They are all very close in talent and should be exciting but certainly not close to the top private level of play. |

Just checked out the Prep College Matriculation list. I know it is a COVID year, and everything is weird, but I would take Landon's list over Prep's. For the person on here earlier claiming Prep is a much better academic institution than Landon, well, you appear to be wrong based on college acceptances. If I could find the Landon list, I would post a link but it isn't out yet. Bear Pride.
I am surprised by StJC win over Prep. The Cadets must be very good, or Prep had a very off day. Kudos to StJC. |

Not affiliated with Prep or Gonzaga.
If SJC and Prep are fortunate enough to meet again in the IAC - WCAC challenge, I’m not convinced the Cadets will win after watching their performance tonight. |
|
For the DC lax Dads who insist the New England West Division is not better than the IAC or the WCAC, please get lost.
Taft, Brunswick, Deerfield, Avon and Salisbury would run circles around GP, Bullis, Landon, Gonzaga and SJC as evident as tonight. |
| Didn’t Bullis win this 2 years ago? |
| Bullis defeated Hill Academy and Salisbury to win GEICO in 2019. Not sure if Salisbury ran circles around Bullis but Bullis was able to empty the bench in the final game. |

DC Championships will be a great event.
SJC v SSSA Don't sleep on SSSA, they defeated Bullis and Landon. Prep v Gonzaga. Big battle of the Jesuits. Prep has more talent but anything is possible when these two teams meet in any sporting event PVI v Landon PVI has never defeated Landon. Is this the year? Bullis v Dematha DeMatha has only lost 1 game this season and defeated Gonzaga last week. |
I’m not sure Prep is as talented as Taft. I watched the games and I’d say Taft is the better team. It really hurt SJC not having their face off player. |
|
I don’t think either SJC or Prep would beat Culver
I thought I heard the commentators say SJC only has 4 seniors on the roster this year, they will be easily one of the top programs in the country next year |
Typical private school parent fanboying. You can't buy your way to talent. If you look at lacrosse at the next level there are more public school kids playing than there are private. Plain and simple. |
Sleep soundly: SJC pummels a weak SSSA team by at least 10, old school faceoffs with no FOGOs Prep, salty after the SJC loss, wins by 5 Landon wins by 2, working hard the whole way, but no this is not the year for PVI Bullis wins by 7, DeMatha never in it, |
Already handled Prep. Add last year and that’s twice. Prep defense and goalie can’t hang. |
| Hearing preps FO guys broke his thumb against St. John’s. Anyone know if that is true? |
SJC came out the gates on fire and played a near flawless game. Prep came out half asleep and played absolutely horribly, with rec league turnovers, many caused by SJC aggressiveness, many self-imposed. Yet it was a 1 goal game deep into the third and scores of second, third, and fourth quarter were ties (until empty netter at 4 seconds). SJC outplayed the heck out of Prep but barely won. Would not make any assumptions about a rematch if it comes to pass. |
