They should. Team full of players that graduated HS last year.

We shall see.....gotta play it. Prep was exposed....SJC will have to deal with another FOGO.....and better supporting crew. Should be interesting.

The re-classify comments really need to stop.

Are you trying to tell me SJC has no players who have reclassified? We know Georgetown Prep and Gonzaga have been playing this game for years.

Back to the games...

That was the first time I had seen SJC play this Spring via stream and they looked very impressive. Wes Speaks has done a very good job building the SJC program since he took it over 5 years ago. Prior to that Bobby Horsey and Trig really never got the program where it should be.

SJC middies were athletic and had some kids who could really shoot the ball. SJC goalie might have been the difference maker, he is show-stopper. (15 saves?). SJC defense plays like a defensive unit. Not one of their defenseman stood out like a total stud but they are very well coached and don't make many mistakes, GP struggled really to generate quality shots. The Cadets have an absolutely loaded 2022 class across the field. They could easily find themselves in the top 5 next Spring.

Prep looked sloppy and dis-interested in playing tonight. This is the 2nd time in a row where I have watched GP (they didn't look to sharp against Bullis in the IAC finals either). If GP plays like they did last nigh later this week, don't be shocked if their Gonzaga friends pull off the upset.

Post Grad player is much different than a reclass year. Taft has players that actually graduated HS last year.

Sure Taft might have a few post grad players on their roster. If I were to guess, I bet you some some of the PG players they have graduated HS when they were either 17 or 18 years old.

Georgetown Prep has several 17 year olds in their current 2023 class - whats your point?

These private schools get all the love. There are public schools that would give them a run. Yorktown (Arlington) would be a tough draw for any of them but I guess we'll never know because the privates always duck the top public schools.

Not true (and my son plays at a public). Yorktown would not stand a chance. Riverside lost earlier this month to Zaga. And privates do typically have at least one game against a public in a season, even if it's a scrimmage.

do you mean the Yorktown varsity would give any of the top private JVs a run? Then yes I agree.

Are we really back to that? Public schools can’t compete with private schools.

Yorktown is more than welcome to sign up for NHSLS. Conestoga in PA plays. Yorktown will get thumped by Robinson and Madison. Beating up on kids who have never played until high school ain’t playing Gonzaga who crushed Riverside when starters played. That being said Yorktown would easily beat DJO, BI, McNamara, and SMR. They’d give GC a game.

Why don’t you lax Dads teach your family what Memorial Day is all about rather than having dick measuring competition on dc urban moms.
