1st team, 2nd team, all that crap means less than most people think. It’s a behind the scenes, I’ll trade you, shell game. Not totally pissing on it but the politics and “hand shake” deals is hilarious.
The cream rises and the best are the best but if you hang your honors on that crap, you’re a fool.

And Yeap, did that “fantasy football” crap for almost 10 years.

It’s horrible, worse now and needs to be cleaned up.

Agree with you but would say Districts are more accurate than regions or states. All nonsense as winning championship is the goal. Individual accolades come with advancing through the process. People remember titles not who made All Conference/Region/State. Banners in the gym and on the entrance of a school don’t post players. They post TEAMS!

You are totally right about the politics as seen it in the past.

Hope the Concorde has cleaned up its act and one doesn’t see players nominated for positions they didn’t play all season. Those coaches lose all respect and devalues the process.

Thanks Oakton Dad. Any close half or close game for Oakton means they played like crap? More excuses. SSSA is a has been and not the power they once were. They do have something in common with Madison. Both coached by relic coaches that should step aside sooner than later. Less worry about other kids you don’t know s*** about and focus on your own kid and program.

How did the Langley coach end up getting Liberty District Coach of the Year? By most accounts, she has credited with much of Langley’s decline, not to mention costing Langley a state title last season.
