Jussie Smollett attacked

As soon as I got away from attackers or as soon as I got home, I would take a noose off my neck. Especially since he wasn't intending to report it or go to the ER..

Who sits in their house with a rope around their neck from an attack?

This is all sounding way off.

I agree with the theory, he met up with someone from Grindr, it went wrong, there was a physical altercation. He may well have been the victim in that altercation

I don't think there were ski masks, or bleach or a noose.

Maybe he didn’t want to spend enough time taking off the rope lest his attackers catch him?

So he didn’t take it off for 2 hours?

CPD also says: when Smollett contacted police at 2:42AM, he was still wearing the rope around his neck. The alleged encounter occurred at 2AM. Police have the rope and it will be analyzed.

DP..I interpreted that post as meaning the poster believed Smollett didn’t remove the rope because it was evidence

Oh
Lol! Well, at least I could clear up the time spent with the rope on his body.

I’m in Chicago frequently for work and I agree that the persons of interest do no have the appearance of the white dudes you see here in the DC area. However, that’s exactly how the more street savvy white dudes dress in Chicago. Baggy sweats/pants, Timbs or other boots, beanies with their hoodie hoods up.

I think he hooked up with the wrong person and then got his ass beat. There’s been no confirmation that it was bleach poured on him. It could have been a beverage or jizz for all we know. And the rope was described as thin so perhaps a shoestring or a lanyard of sorts.

Anyway, no way I’m giving up my phone to be processed without a warrant. Especially not when I’m the victim. PDs are full of leaks and tabloids pay big money for celeb dirt. Pix and such could be stolen and sold.

It's pretty obvious this whole thing is fake.

Can the police sue him?

Basically this. Does no one remember when Chris Brown beat Rihanna and somehow her evidence pictures ended up online within a week?

It was disgusting.

Yep, I'm from the Tidewater area, and I grew up around white dudes who dressed like this and tried to emulate a more "street" swagger.

He made a statement this morning.
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/jussie-smollett-speaks-out-for-the-first-time-since-racist-and-homophobic-attack_us_5c546b92e4b0bdf0e7daef45

From his statement:
Smollett also addressed the skepticism about the attack, telling Essence that he has been “100 percent factual and consistent on every level” with authorities.

“Despite my frustrations and deep concern with certain inaccuracies and misrepresentations that have been spread, I still believe that justice will be served,” he said.

I'm confused. Where was this attack?

According to CNN,
Investigators have video of Smollett entering the hotel after the alleged attack with what appears to be a noose around his neck, Guglielmi said.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/31/entertainment/jussie-smollett-attack-letter-phone-call/index.html

Did the attack occur outside? So he and the two men were outside when Smollet called his manager? Were the two men just hanging around, waiting for him to finish his phone call?

And then did he wait around outside before entering the hotel? I thought it was his apartment.

any insight?
