You're still making assumptions based on people's appearance, so you sound racist and dumb. |
Most illegals immigrants come through visa overstays. Not sure they ever crossed dangerous borders and it seems they could afford travels and visas. The stereotype of desperate hard working immigrants fighting for life is incorrect (and very annoying to me as it does not apply at all). I am sure it describes some people but whether that is even a majority of highly questionable. |
How do you know this? Regardless, for those who are willing to risk life/limb, their lives must've been pretty dire. And we all know that stereotypes don't apply to all, but I presume to know everyone's situation. |
This is very true. I'm sure if that PP saw a white person, speaking English who was in the dr's office, they would never think that person might be an illegal Canadian. Oh wait, nevermind, Canadians have free healthcare. But maybe that Canadian came down to the US to get medical care because their system is so terrible. |
I know it's hard, but try to stay focused. |
|
It was not so long ago that Bill Clinton talked like Trump when it came to immigration ...... well, maybe, a more gentle version of Trump
|
Every single HUMAN in most other third world nations have lives that are pretty dire. That does not all fall on the U.S. hands. It is not a freebie to break a law. Stop excusing breaking a federal law. They LEAVE their countrymen in poverty to sneak in here and you think that is noble. Give me an f'ing break!! Noble is staying and making your country better Noble is educating yourself Noble is not procreating every year when you can't even afford food for yourself. Noble is waiting for a LEGAL way to enter the country Could you imagine if all those living in poverty in our inner cities could just get up, sneak into Canada, get a job under the table, get a nicer/safer home and collect government assistance. All of a sudden, we don't have to pay for them but Canada does. But their lives were dire in their home country. They deserve it. |
Or that Obama deported more illegal aliens than any other Preseident. All while talking about including them. LOL
|
And they PAY for that care here in the U.S. Kinda a big difference. Oh and that most Canadians want zero to do with our country |
Yes because most poor Spanish speaking people are here legally in the United States.
|
Please provide a source saying that MOST poor Spanish speaking people are here illegally. |
| I wouldn't say I "defend" illegal immigration per se. But I do feel some sense of empathy and humanity for these people. I wouldn't be in favor of rounding them up and deporting them. I think we should aim for some sort of revision to immigration laws. |
There are illegal immigrants here from Canada. They "pay" for their care here the same way illegal immigrants from MX do. The difference to that PP is that she would never assume a white person speaking English in that dr's office could possibly be an illegal immigrant as easily as she assumes that a Hispanic person is. For all she knows, that Hispanic person could be a legal immigrant. That was really the point. I have a friend - Asian American - married to a white European. Some stupid white lady called that Asian American woman a mail order bride as she was passing by. And the funny part - the Asian American women was born here (as were her parents), and the white man was still in the process of getting his green card. This is the problem with stereotyping and making dumb ass assumptions. |
Gawd, you people are dumb. When your poor ancestors from non English speaking European countries first came here, did they immediately start speaking English? |
They are required to go back to their home country and apply for permanent resident status through marriage, but they are required to apply from their home country. Unless you are an immigration attorney, I suspect it's you that is unfamiliar with the law. I know of three married couples who had to do this. |
