Fairfax County School Board Votes to Teach 7th Graders about 'Gender Identy'

We've told you. You just don't want to believe that being lied to by your school/ government/ state is harmful

First of all, the teacher is not going to LIE to students. It is a fact that some people are attracted to members of their own sex, and it is now legal for those couples to marry. It is a fact that a tiny percentage of people feel that their gender identity and their external genitalia do not align. That is the way God made those people. If you want to deny that those people exist, or teach your children that they are mentally ill, disgusting, etc, that is on you.

As has been pointed out many times, you are entitled to pull your child out of the class if you don't want them to learn the established facts about sexual and gender identity. You do not get to dictate curriculum based on your personal beliefs. Are you also an evolution denier? Climate change?

Why do the schools need to teach this at all? I understand teaching biology--but I don't understand why we need to address the rest of it at school.

I'm not sure you're qualified to determine how God made people. The evidence we have before us is a penis. If that doesn't help us determine that God made men, men, than I'm not sure what else will convince you. You people are such strange birds. If God wanted someone to be a female it's stupid common sense he would've provided a vagina and breast. The fact that he provided a penis and scrotum is about as clear as evidence can get that He intended for the human being to be that of the male persuasion. Any teacher who tries to belie otherwise is just being dishonest at the most basic level. The fact that you would encourage that makes you a hateful bigot. You are not tolerant of parents who simply want their children left alone. We have a right to exist without the attempt to propagandize us. The good news is I think the marketplace of ideas will likely drown this thing out. I think kids will stand up and fight this nonsense and challenge the teacher for lying. And parents will back it up. If nothing else, the schools are about to have a very rough time when they try to push the bullshit agenda.

You are mistaken, and you are incredibly vain to think you know everything about what God intended. His people all deserve love and acceptance, even if you don't understand the way they are made.

You also sound a little mentally ill yourself.

We don't. This is a fake priority that's getting shoved on us. I hope we make an example of this and stand up to the school acting in the role of bullies, forcing the mental illness on all of us. I will be informing my child of our values and beliefs at home. I will also fully support her when she tells the teacher off, which is what many kids are planning to do. My kids will not be victims or dictated to. She will respectfully let that be known.

Oh, and you do know how God made people? VAin your self. Let's just call a truce. Neither of us know for sure. But, we can rely on the flesh and blood evidence before us. I'd give more weight to the penis than anything else. That's reasonable in the world of no one knows for sure.

Is that you, Mr. Landry? Get off the computer and take your meds. Psych nurse here. Just had a schizophrenic tell me that I was crazy. Um no, the crazy is the schizophrenic on psych meds. The crazies are the transgenders and their wacky supporters who needs meds. You can use reverse psychology all you want, but we all know who's mentally ill here.

Oh I do like penises. Won't lie about that! LOL! You trans mental cases are repulsed by them and their on your own body, no less. Now that's plain crazy! At the end of the day, that's on you. There's even people who will help you dismember yourself. To each you all's own. However, I don't want that nonsense introduced to my child. This is where you people cross the line.

I think we're still learning a lot about the brain as time goes on. There was once a time when left handed people were considered sorcerers and the people who believed that were sincere in that belief. There was a time when dyslexic kids were just believed to be dumb or to have behavioral issues that prevented them from reading well and learning and that belief was sincere as well.

I honestly have no idea whether feeling transgendered is in fact a mental "problem" of some sort or just an area of the brain we're still discovering. And neither does anyone here.

Until we know more, I have no problem teaching my child that there are people who identify this way and that they, like everyone else, deserve respect, tolerance, and compassion.

A Liberal Christian

NP. Yes, in many cases I think it is. I don't doubt that some people are born with a gay tendency or genetic make-up. But more, especially currently, I think are influenced by the hype and cool of it all, the encouragement to "experiment" and the notions that if a young girl happens to think another female is attractive and she's having a rough spot with boys this month, well then she must be gay. I think many young people are led astray by this and some get caught up in the lifestyle that they truly have no idea how to get out of. But that's all part of the goal, of the lie, of the agenda, which is why I think schools have absolutely no business discussing this on any level.

I have a perfect example of this in my own family, so I've seen it first hand.

You are too stupid for words and cling proof of why every school should discuss it. And newsflash, honey: your family member probably decided to fake heterosexuality once they realized they were related to a bunch of imbeciles. Or maybe th

At least I'm smart enough not to push "submit" mid-word, when I'm in the middle of a rant. Oh, wait. It is the left that is big on ranting in a juvenile fashion, not to mention name-calling.

Of course trying out homosexuality is "cool" now. Just ask any high school student. It's free to be me now, whatever "me" happens to feel like this week.
