Daily Mail says neighbors describe the apartment police searched as belonging to a large man in his 20s with dreadlocks.

Ha! I knew it! I actually called the tip line this morning to point out dread guy in the two videos. Obviously they were already on to him given that the police were searching his car and apt and had been there since midnight. I'm guessing they released a slightly different description of the suspect so that he wouldn't flee.

I have to wonder if he is protecting dread man by giving that other description, which doesn't seem to be corroborated on any surveillance video. Maybe they were in cahoots? I mean, I would think it would take two men to abduct a girl Hannah's size. So sad to even think about it!

I had this thought too, because 1) doorway guy stops in the doorway right at the same point that dreads guy starts cutting across the patio, and 2) in the jewelry store video, doorway guy is seen walking a few yards behind Hannah and dreads guy. Why would he have not mentioned dreads guy to the police instead of some guy "with a clean shaven head and goatee"?

They said there were 3 people at the apartment they're searching when police showed up to seize the car. Could this have involved more than 1 suspect? Hoping the news conference will give us new info.

I am sure he is completely innocent because he is black.

I don't understand why you're even bringing race into this. Black men commit violent crimes on women. White men commit violent crimes on women. Hispanic men commit violent crimes on women. Asian men commit violent crimes on women. The common denominator is, almost always, that the perps are males. Skin color and race may be a decriptor in helping identify a suspect, but gender is nearly universal and virtually a given.

Just because there's a black guy in the video doesn't mean it's the person of interest? Lots of amateur detectives on here!

Very very sad all around, I hope she is found but these stories rarely have happy endings.

Have you even watched the videos? There is a black guy who changes directions after Hannah passes and then is seen following her and then walking next to her, possibly with his arm around her shoulder.

Not pp but I had a hard time figuring out who folks were referring to in those videos at first. The guy with the white shorts looked to be alone both times he passed thru the video. I didn't notice him putting his arm around the girl I thought was Hannah, but maybe I didn't even pin down who she was. Definitely do not know all the details in this case but presuming the cops know more than we do, personally I don't have a reason to doubt the description of who they are looking for, but my assessment of the video is not that good.

The police questioned the black guy with dreds in the white shorts. He's a student. He said that he followed Graham because she looked like she was in distress and told police that before he could catch up with her, another man approached her and put his arm around her.

This second man was described by police "as black, between 5-foot-10 and 5-foot-11, 250 to 285 pounds, with a close-shaved head, goatee, and a slight "beer belly" in his late 20s to early 30s and wearing black jeans and a white t-shirt."

This person of interest is NOT on the videos

Where did you read that the guy with dreads is a student? If he is the one whose apt police arenow searching, I'm wondering why they said the suspect wasnot. In the videos.

This is an old post. The poster had the facts wrong.

In other words, men commit crimes against women. No need to be so verbose.

Thanks for paraphrasing and contributing nothing new. PP was still a needlessly incendiary probable racist, to at least some degree.

Charlottesville has an insanely high violent crime rate so odds are, they are not related.

What did the press conference say?

Nothing terribly interesting yet...sounds like the man in the video was not detained or charged with anything. They took his car and searched the apartment today.

Going on right now. She was seen in a bar with the suspect.
