I am an Asian woman married to a white guy. Ask me (practically) anything.

Not OP, but my kids are half. They don't know any different, and where we live, mixed race people are common, so they don't stick out. As they grow older, they understand more that they are a mix of different races and cultures, and again, given that we live in such a diverse area, to them, it's nbd.

They have a mix of our features. One DC has fairer skin/hair, while the other is darker. One's eyes are more almond shaped than the other. It's quite a mix, but they are both beautiful, if I do say so myself.

I will say though, that at one point when my older DC was very young, we lived in an area where most of the kids were white, and all of his bffs were blonde/blue eyed. He said to me one day that he wished he had yellow hair. That saddened me. We moved out of that area for various reasons, but the lack of diversity was one of the reasons, though I believe that area has become more diverse since we've moved.

What's wrong with blonde hair? My son has it (I don't), and I'm kind of tired of people saying how ugly it is. The pendulum has swung way too far in the opposite direction, and it's not ok to say a light-haired child is ugly either.

I don't think the pp is saying blonde hair itself is bad or ugly.

It's just that mentality that leads people to think that blonde hair blue eyes is what symbolizing beauty. Kind of like the issue that people had with Barbie dolls for a while.

So the issue that the pp had has more to do with diversity in the area and how her kids perceive things versus the actual color of the hair.

Used to know a half Asian person with blonde hair before. Didn't believe that they were part Asian at first when someone else told me but turned out to be true. Not a big deal. Just usually didn't expect blonde hair to make it out with that type of mix.

?????

It' not about how blonde is bad. It's about how he was surrounded by blondes, and he didn't appreciate the differences and wanted to be like them.

You are overly sensitive. The pendulum indeed has swung way too far.

I want blonde hair too. And I'm a white adult woman. I don't see why this is such a horrible thing.

Ha! A three year old post and finally someone asks the question.

All of the ones I've seen are, yes. I can't only speak for Japanese and a few Korean men though, I don't know about Chinese or Southeast Asian men. I was in the Navy and assigned to Okinawa, single, in my 20's, what's a girl going to do? Maybe Vienna sausages is a little small by comparison, but not much. It was nice to get back to the states where things are better. And bigger.

Not really. Unlike OP, I slept around quite a bit before getting married, and in my experience with Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Fillippino, white, black, Latino, and Native American men, penises for most men tend to be proportional to the rest of the body. There are exceptions, of course, but a more accurate statement would be that small men tend to have small penises, hands, feet, etc., and large (as in overall size, not just fat) men tend to have correspondingly large body parts.
