Kate spending time with "birth family"

Her parents can also protect her from any unwanted visits from family members or staff who would go on world-wide tv to share personal info.

Kensington Palace does seem to be full of staffers that leak stories.

Birth family is an odd distinction to make . Camilla is by Charles side during his battle with cancer. Where is William?

His excuse this time for not working is the care of the three kids even though no convoys from Kensington Palace were ever spotted driving in the last few months to the kids’ school and/or activities. He’s living alone there

The family moved to Windsor a while ago and the children attend school nearby. People really need to inform themselves re: basics before posting.

Why on earth does anyone believe this story? It’s on the Daily Beast. Not credible. Not reliable. Move on people.

It doesn’t necessarily mean her cancer is more serious.

Three people I worked with had chemo and took little time off and looked fine (although did lose hair). I realize that’s not the case for everyone going thru chemo but the modern options are much less toxic and if she’s getting the very toxic kind that suggests to me that the cancer is very bad.

From a medical standpoint, not necessarily. Your treatment might include a very harsh chemo drug, yet your cancer may be completely curable.

Take triple negative breast cancer - standard protocol is doxorubicin which is very toxic. It’s very very harsh. Yet oncologists treat up to stage 3 with curable intent.

It’s such a strange thing to use the phrase birth family when talking about an adult woman who was never adopted out. Why not just say she’s spending time with her family or parents?

Just because superwoman Ruth Bader Ginsburg and others worked through cancer doesn't mean it's what's best for others, especially if they can afford not to. Chemo can really be a living hell for some. Let her fight this and heal her own way. Whatever uplifts her is good. She no longer owes the public anything. Her health comes first.

TNBC is curable but very very aggressive. Hence the harsh chemo.

They wanted to make it very clear that she’s not spending time with William…..

One I know worked right through treatment. Another took time off a month into treatment and was hospitalized three times due to side effects from chemo. There was a period of time where treatment was almost as dangerous as the cancer. The chemo was attacking her lungs even though she didn't have lung cancer.

Nobody is required to tough it out and work through cancer, and nobody else should be judging as some here have suggested Catherine shouldn't be taking time off.

Respectfully your non medical opinion is meaningless

How did the question even form about Kates work? She certainly doesn’t need to even without cancer. The future heir is the one who has all the responsibility.

What is he doing if he’s not on leave for his family ? It was claimed his majesty needed extended time off to resort to tending to his three children and Catherine but now the “birth family” are the ones surrounding Catherine . Strange wording
