Agree. Although the full season is 18 episodes, so maybe this is Jack's last big appearance? Although I generally like the "past" episodes when it's the way past. I feel like we've seen a lot of Rebecca and Jack's marriage and the kids' childhood. I am good on all that.

We've got a lot of ground to cover - Cassidy and Kevin see each other again. Kevin gets married. Kate divorces and then ends up re-marrying. Deja is pregnant and something weird is up with the Randall Pearsons. Nicky gets married. Miguel dies. Baby Jack grows up and gets married. Josh Malina has to come back around

Lot of ground to cover in general, so dedicating an episode to Jack's mother dying seems like a lot.

All the bolded… except Josh Malina (who is he?) - this is all news to me. Where did you get these ideas?

Not PP but Malina played the guy in the bad car accident who Kevin saved on his way home to see the babies being born.

I missed this as well!

Very beginning of the episode where she goes to Boston, Randall says something about going to study with a friend, maybe named Carol, for the whole weekend. He mentions the girls name but I forgot it. So she lied to him. But I am curious why he didn’t confirm with friends parents she was going there.

Close.

Randall says to Deja "So you and Tish/Trish/Tiff (?) going to be studying all weekend?" and Deja says something like "mmm hmmm" (agreeing sort of).

It was part of the "previously on TIS" at the beginning of the current episode as well. Deja implied that she was hanging out with a female friend.

Maybe the whole point of the "mother's death" story is to lead into another significant change -- perhaps Rebecca will get news that Miguel has died or something dramatic like that. The point that Rebecca was making to Jack is that until you go to sleep, anything can change the trajectory of the day.

Deja is a junior in high school. I would never have called my DD's friends' parents to confirm where she was.

Did I miss something? How do you know Cassidy is back in the picture?

Kevin called her at the end of last episode

I also thought Cassidy went back to her husband? So Kevin knows something we don’t? How many women has he been in love with on this show? At least 3?

I don't think he gets together with her romantically, but the show is keeping all the irons in the fire.

I wonder if we see Zoe before the end. I also wonder if Zoe might not revise her stance on not wanting kids if the kids in question are her stepkids. I always felt like Kevin was more into her than she was into him. And it would be an interesting twist.

She was in an episode last season calling Kevin when she found out he was engaged. Kinda impying he was only marry cause the girl, was pregnant and he wanted to please people. A little nasty to call someone you rejected.

The most import time to keep track of your kids IMO.

You should have : )

Have we covered this yet - why does Kevin live in the garage and only see his kids in the morning? Why does he not insist on having more time with them? He should have 50 percent custody. Why does he not get a few nights and weekends? I cannot remember if they explained this or not.

I didn’t realize he didn’t have partial custody. Is this stated somewhere?

Kevin’s not living in Madison’s garage anymore. Now he’s staying at Kate’s house.

I think they’re working it out informally. They sleep through the night now and Kevin works at least PT, so he seems to see them pretty much every day when he doesn’t. Seems reasonable. Babies sleeping 10-12 hours/night don’t need to be moved around. They can adjust things, including overnights, as they grow and when Kevin is more settled somewhere.

I think you might be, sorry. Nice friendship but no chemistry imo.

I’m a huge Jennifer Morrison fan. Disagree that they don’t have chemistry. She’s gotta be his end game.

She’s been OK in other things, but I hate how she plays Cassidy as such a sourpuss on this show. A real downer - no charm at all.

Agree, no charm or humor whatsoever. I’d be very disappointed if they put her with Kevin, don’t think it will happen.
