Can you answer the question? Do you believe the Koran is also true? |
Me? No. Like how do you mean "true"? No more or less than the Bible I suppose. |
Right, but at least some of the Jan 6 rioters have been punished for their actions. Plus, I doubt if any of them thought they would die or even to jail. They thought they were carrying out their Messiah's wishes. |
I was thinking of the MAGAs who refuse to vaccinate and use horse paste/pool cleaner. Many have died spreading the word of Trump. |
This anti-vax state senator from Washington state recently died of covid. His family did not state the cause of death, only this: "We are heartbroken to share that our husband and father passed away on Friday, Dec. 17. Please keep our family in your prayers and thank you for continuing to respect our privacy in this extremely difficult time." https://www.cnn.com/2021/12/18/politics/washington-state-senator/index.html His official website is full of anti-vax stuff https://dougericksen.src.wastateleg.org |
I'm guessing pp who mentioned the book of Mark is at a loss for words and won't be coming back to answer that question. |
No I was just out Question should be, do I believe that Mohammed was also a real person Belief in all of either book is irrelevant |
Can you answer what the question is? Do you believe that the Koran is also true? |
We can verify that Joseph Smith was a real person.
Don’t even need “faith” to believe that. |
There most likely is some truth to it. I wouldn't know more since I have not read it |
So you apply a different standard to the Koran, and I assume all other holy legends that have "changed history" than you do to the bible? Why? |
Good point. Smith came along in the 19th century in the US when we have written records and photography. He is definitely real. Still, many non-mormons think their beliefs are crazy (different layers of heaven, etc) and would never die for them, though many Mormons have died or killed for their faith. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Meadows_Massacre |
And he definitely changed history. Mormons are a worldwide religion, despite their weird beliefs. And Mormons tend to be very financially successful and educated. |
And poor Every mormon is not rich. The compulsory tithing is expensive. Mormon church itself is very wealthy. The congratulations are separated in different regions by income |
