Yet this time around Johnson is expecting the Senate to act as rubber stamp for the one bill he was willing to pass before taking his members and going home. The longer he keeps the House out of session the more blame Mike Johnson will get for the shutdown.

There is zero reason Rep need to cave on this since the military is being paid. The admin don't want the ATC folks who call in sick. Their whole plan is to spin everything into chaos. So they can remake the shape of govt. For the Dems to die on their swords for ACA is simply not big enough of a sacrifice for what's coming for everyone.

This is just not the right way to stick to their guns. The only way they win is if the Rep shoot themselves in the foot which is entirely possible of course but I don't know... all this pain.
