I don't understand. Three big races in GA in 2020 went blue, by thin margins. If the Senate race is decided by a close margin, it's still fair to call GA purple.

Walker is the worst candidate imaginable. If he still wins, GA is red

No.

The right wing propaganda network exists and is inescapable.

Voter suppression still exists, and it’s lopsided.

Voter intimidation still exists, and it’s lopsided.

If Walker wins it speaks only to the fact that Republicans hate America and democracy.

He's mentally ill with a string of mistresses and he's going to win. Abrams was supposed to be the great savior of democrats in the south and she's going to get blown out in her race.

Should I repeat myself since you responded to my post but ignored everything I wrote? The GOP machine is still there, still exists.

I think you're overlooking his popularity due to being a stand-out athlete from a very modest background and from a small town near the coast who has a humble way of presenting himself, yet very determined and rather fearless. Those qualities appeal to a lot of voters across Georgia. Warnock is also from a very modest background yet has achieved much and expresses himself beautifully, with the skills of a pastor and being head of a much beloved church. It is indeed a very close race.

Trafalgar 😆

For all the whining about Trafalgar, they have an A- rating from FiveThirtyEight.

They had Republicans +1 on the generic ballot in 2018.

That’s Rasmussen.

Trafalgar had a C- prior to 2020 and now has an A- which is weird since they got like every 2020 swing state wrong.

But less wrong than the others did, apparently.

Yup. If Trafalgar is showing Warnock +2, it probably means he will win +4. Trafalgar has a consistent 2-4 point bias toward the Republican candidate in individual races.

That's OK - vast majority of pollsters end up having a slight and reliable partisan bias in their polling model. That just reflects the choices made by the pollster writing their poll, collecting their sample, and weighing their sample.

Ok, so then it's a dead heat. Which is basically what the polling has been saying for the last month or two.

The polls are all adjusted to their assumptions of midterm turnout demographics. Midterm elections generally have a Republican bias just because their voters are more likely to vote in non-Presidential years than young voters and minority voters who favor Democrats. It’s all going to come down to young voters and Black voters, especially women, turning out in numbers as they did in 2018 and 2020. There aren’t many persuadable voters out there. How could there be? It’s all hinging on turnout, which is why Republicans are engaging in vote suppression efforts.

If democracy is so under threat why have the democrats consume so much of their political capital on completely unrelated garbage like build back better and the inflation reduction act? Why aren't they doing whatever they can to unite the country and save democracy?
