Girl Raped at Rockville HS

From Maryland's Governor: No guarantees of children's safety amid rape case

“I’m not sure I can give assurances that their children will be safe,” he said.

What he did give assurances about, however, was that he would do three things: Get to bottom of the case, end the sanctuary status of Montgomery County and make the county’s school district more accountable.

“That’s a big part of the problem,” Hogan said of the county’s decision to not cooperate with federal authorities in their hunt for illegal immigrants.

For the twentieth time what is the alternative? The courts have said that the school has to admit him. His limited schooling prevents him from being placed with with other 18 year olds. Would you prefer him take Pre-cal or American Literature with a second grade education and not even being literate in his own language?

Well, apparently there are 511 METS students in regular HS in MCPS right now, 97% of whom are native Spanish speakers. They could practically form their own school at this point.

News flash: we are building new schools in our county every year to take care of the influx.

Chilling. If I had kids in the system, I would march down to the school and take my daughter out. I would then go to the real estate office and demand a refund. Congrats, libs, you've just lost Maryland.

What should his attorney do instead? Say "Yes, he's guilty! Put him away for life!"

That would be a rather incompetent defense attorney then.

Of course, people should get infuriated. When women get raped or their pussy grabbed, people are always willing to say that they invited or consented to it. Do you not have family members who are females? Imagine how it would have been if it was your daughter or sister being raped?

But, if we give everyone the right to a due process, then these accused should get one too.

MCPS schools should be safer. Not only from rape and sexual predators but also from home grown NRA terrorists. The courts and the law enforcement should deal with punishing these people.

And if you want to judge them in the court of public opinion, not for being rapists, but something else - non-White, illegal immigrants...then include their primitive and misogynistic religion too. Because they are all of these things. You cannot pick and choose. You condemn others for their religion, even those who are legal citizens....then condemn these people for their religion too. Because a devout Muslim would not have touched her with a barge pole when she was on her periods.

Now on FOX News...
That shyster lawyer!!

Does anyone know this guy or know more about him? He's obviously doing this for the fame since he's already on FOX news, lol

I went to college with him. Had mutual friends. From what I remember about him, it is not surprising that he took this case. Big talker. Opportunist for sure.

What's the opportunity here? Just the fame, IMO.

Will other lawyers respect the fact that he took this case? I'm not a lawyer, so I have no idea how this is perceived.

Most importantly, I'm curious as to who's paying for his fees!

Tucker Carlson asked him this question.
What this attorney said is that the family retained him - the defendant’s father hired him.
He wouldn’t get into other details when pressed.

Tucker asked the questions I wanted to ask this lawyer. I wish this lawyer can practice with conscience.

He's a lawyer. He's doing his job. Accused criminals have a right to counsel. This lawyer is doing exactly what he is supposed to do, and all lawyers understand that.

Now I understand how lynch mobs used to happen.

I agree on that accused criminals have right to counsel. And all persons involved in a case deserves the justice. All people should be protected by the laws. I support that the lawyers should do due diligence work to prevent wrong sentence and over-punishment. But the issue is, some lawyers are playing with the law for their own gain. For example, if a lawyer knew that his/her criminal was guilty, but he/she managed to make the criminal work away from punishment, some people like you may say:"He/she is just doing his/her job", but as a matter of fact, such lawyers are assisting conducting crime and making the second injury to the victims. Also, stop labeling someone with something they are not. What you posted is more like from a mob.

. We give our CITIZENS the right to due process. These illegals are not citizens of our country-they don't have the same rights.

Maybe you are the one who is too 'simple' to recognize that there IS a difference.

The administrations travel ban also was against legal immigrants with "Green Cards". US citizenship and valid visas. Your morals must be truly elastic to actually accommodate all your xenophobic, misogynistic and religious biases. You also seem to be a sad product of very short telomeres coupled with a substandard education.

hahaha, I want to know to. But, seriously, I just had a conversation with my DH last night about the possibility of moving out of MD.

FFS. I was against the Muslim ban. It was ridiculous. And I didn't vote for Trump. Stop with the obnoxious insults and don't assume things about posters. There are several different posters posting.

In THIS particular case, this man should NOT have been in the country. End of story. This particular rape should not have happened.

Is there an estimate on how many illegals total are currently enrolled in MCPS? What's the per pupil cost per student per year in MCPS?

SCOTUS disagrees with you.

Some people are trying to mislead the topic to all irrelevant directions. Focus on two illegals here who broke the immigration law first, now a rape, would you?
