The Lil Hoyas have played the hardest schedule in the DMV and it's really not close. Despite the L yesterday, the Hoyas have performed well at the national level. GP sits at 7-3 record with really no bad losses. W's over Gilman, St Mary's, and Loyola from the MIAA. The Hoyas looked elite during their spring break in Florida against traditional FL power Saint Andrews from Boca and Southern Cal Power Loyola out of Los Angeles. St. Ignatius scored in the final 10 seconds of regulation yesterday in a very back-and-forth game. |

Despite Gonzaga's record, they might have the best W's in the DMV. Knocking off a previous undefeated PVI squad and beating their Jesuit rivals Georgetown Prep, doesn't look bad at all.

lol - had they won by 1: "The difference between winning and losing is grit" - this one? "the difference between winning and losing is a bad ref" |
Some of these kids are turning 20 this spring |
So what? |
|
The same old whining |
| Landon was up big and called the dogs off. 13-1 then emptied the bench |
| Bears have played a weak schedule |
Yep Culver and Malvern Prep are weak. |

Top Ten
1. Bullis. 2 losses to 2 good teams by a total of 2 goals 2. St. John’s. A win against PVI puts them as the front runner if Bullis loses 3. Paul VI. loses the first of 3 tough ones 4. Georgetown Prep. Losses to top CA team, top PA team, a rival and a first half scrimmage to Paul VI 5. Landon. No trouble with the football powerhouse 6. Good Counsel. On the road for an easy one and one really tough one 7. St. Albans - Beating the teams they are supposed to 8. Gonzaga - One more moves them higher 9.Urbana - Best public and a good team 10. Heights - winning record and a puncher’s chance against GZ |
Neutral's take: 1. SJC - monster game with PVI this week. 2. Landon - don't take STA lightly 3. Bullis - good bounce back win against public school power Urbana 4. PVI - can leapfrog and take back the #1 spot with a win on Friday against the Cadets. 5. Prep - Hoyas' offensive troubles continue 6. Gonzaga - Eagles are riding high after their biggest win of the season. 7. Good Counsel - Falcons vs Torrey Pines should be a great game tomorrow night. MD vs California bragging rights on the line. 8. STA - the Bulldogs can make a statement on Friday vs rival Landon. 9. Episcopal - will struggle in the IAC this year. |
Thanks Prep Dad! Here's what gave you away: Your DS clearly doesn’t play for Landon. Only a Landon-hater would rank the Bears as low as #5. Your DS doesn’t play for '#1 Bulli's either. Not even Bullis players, parents or entire state of Delaware thinks Bullis is #1. Chances are DS still has ‘#1 Bullis’ on upcoming schedule. The shade at 'unranked EHS' also hints at love/hate relationship with IAC. But salty Prep Dad's big giveaway is resentment toward ‘#8’ Gonzaga. Really? The Eagles are well below two teams they just beat head-to-head (‘#3’ PVI & ‘#4’ GP)? GP is an excellent team. Maybe they'll even beat lowly Landon and mighty Bullis. Still, that loss to '#8 GZ' will burn forever. |
GZ suffers the same issue as Penn St. Great wins over Cornell, Princeton and others and inexplicable losses to Villanova, Navy and a collapse against JHU. GZ gets Heights, SJC and GC and they'll rise if they run those 3. The Bears still have a giant hole at the dot and haven't really beaten a high quality opponent. GP and BU have better records, better wins, better rosters. Where does GZ rank? |
