2026 Private School Boys Lacrosse Commentary, Scores, and Updates

MIAA Championship last night was incredible for those who stayed up and caught it.

Calvert Hall fights back from being down by 3 entering the 4th quarter and manages to tie the game with less than 10 seconds left in regulation.

Calvert Hall wins in OT over Spalding.

Because Lawrenceville owns Hill now....guess where the lacrosse players go

Lawrenceville has 19 and 20-year-olds on their roster, it's kinda pathetic.

2. SJC - 2026 class hasn't proved anything yet. Will next year finally be the year?

3. Gonzaga - Eagles' didn't graduate much in 2025, they will be back

4. Bullis - despite the loss of the 21 class, the Bulldogs will remain very athletic especially in the midfield.

5. Georgetown Prep - will next spring be Urick's last year.

6. Good Counsel - Falcons bring back a strong 2026 class and are battle tested

7. PVI - large 2026 class that has been tested. Coaching is suspect

8. Episcopal - the Mad Lax Maroon I'm sure will pick up some summer transfers to plug in some holes.

9. Ryken - a program is finally being restored in southern Maryland

10. DeMatha - despite graduation of 2024 class, Stags are well coached. First year HC should be Washington Post COY.

Where does SSSAS figure in this for next year? Graduating 6 but only one D1 commit? Doesn't this mean they are returning the majority of their squad and will keep getting better under Coach Ince? Asking as a family who visited there this past month. Thanks

St Stephens has zero recruiting budget.

They will remain in the cellar in the IAC

I really wouldn’t put any stock in this beyond it being a basic list of DMV teams. Two of them just outright suck, (PVI has crap coaching and Episcopal shouldn’t be on any “top ten” lists) and unfortunately if you care about lax, SSSA doesn’t anymore.

SSSAS is a mess and they would have been 8th place in WCAC. I bet Ince is already looking. Potomac has the most upside.

It’s too bad for him. He’s a good coach. Wasted there. Easily could take a few mid teams and turn them into powers if given the remit and resources.

How is that still a thing?

How is what still a thing? It’s a reclass academy specializing in getting high school kids to repeat so when they get to college they are bigger, faster and stronger. It takes the financial burden off the colleges and heightens the academy rep by having students attend a higher university.

Yeah because no DMV schools have 19yr old players or freshman who drive to practice.

No dmv school has a varsity team then another post grad team of only 18-20 year olds. Typical defense of the reclass academy. Pretty cool the graduating Landon fogo could play dmv teams next year again as a 5th year. Seems fair.
