We haven’t seen a recent post on here for positive news re treatments .... anyone ??

This is big news on a treatment. Hope it's true.

Fingers crossed

It's so depressing to me that I'm clinging to the hope laid out in a fox news article.

I'm feeling the same way!

I don't think anyone needs an entire article explaining why we shouldn't believe that any treatment has a 100% cure rate.

We've been following this virus for long enough to know that there are no easy fixes and that even the best and most positive sounding treatments have their flaws and aren't necessarily effective.

Cmon guys! We know better than to be swept up with false hope. To those of you "clinging" onto this piece of news, please be aware that things may not pan out in the end. I'm not saying this to be mean or rude...! I just want you to be aware

It's an emotional roller coaster to keep hearing about these "miracle cures" and then to have our hopes dashed.

I'm NOT saying not to share positive things!! PLEASE DO! This thread has been amazing and I hope it continues another 100 pages!

But everyone needs to be aware not to get their hopes too high and then find themselves riding the wild emotional roller coaster of dashed hopes.

Now for some personal good news:
My 90 year old grandmother is thankfully not experiencing any symptoms even though we think she may have been exposed. We are very excited!

I think that the feeling of ickiness for me is that the article in Fox News seems like a big advertisement. A company that specifically chooses to do an "exclusive" with Fox News does so with the hope that the President will see it and mention their company. It's a lot of big talk to hype a stock price, and I just get an uneasy feeling about it.

That is a well thought out answer. I agree

Mmmm, I don't think you get to squash everybody's hopes then get cheers for yourself. C'mon.

Not sure what the problem with OP'S post was.
And not sure why you can't be happy for the fact that his grandmother is doing well

You don't have to be sure, that's fine. Obviously some of us disagreed. Not sure why you felt the need to pick out my post to attack either, but please stop. Thank you.

Not meant to "attack"! I'm sorry it was taken that way...

Just wondering when this thread became so bitter.

Why can't we all just be happy when someone shares their piece of good news?
