Coronavirus good Uplifting and hopeful news only

Am I the only one looking for really positive headway on a treatment for this disease? To me (just an average person!) this seems like the most feasible and quickest way to return to any normalcy is if we have a mass produced/easily accessible treatment plan for Covid 19. We haven’t seen a recent post on here for positive news re treatments .... anyone ??

(Now stop the bickering. This is not the thread for that. This is GOOD NEWS.)

Agreed!
Let's keep adding positivity, whether that means worldly good news or personal good things.
It is uplifting to hear good things on all fronts.

My mother had covid and has recovered (hospitalized 2x). Same with my sister and husband. Hope that is OK to share on here as part of the good Uplifting news

That is awesome, PP! Thank you for sharing.

It's so depressing to me that I'm clinging to the hope laid out in a fox news article.

+ 1,000, but I'll take it if it's true.

News is news. You don't have to agree with their politics but that doesn't mean that every single thing they report on is hogwash.

Anyhow, you can choose which news outlet to trust... But no need to bring negativity to this thread

Yeah same here.

I'm all for vaccines in general... But I'm not thrilled about having a rushed vaccine that we really won't have long term data on for many years to come.

Again, I'm not antivax but common sense tells me that there's just no way we can have long term data on a rushed vaccine. And as we now know that covid doesn't have as high of a mortality rate as previously thought... It makes me wonder if a vaccine is the best option

So ultimately I agree with you.

Also, I'm not a doctor, so obviously I'm just stating a very uneducated opinion a and basic common sense observation.

I'm sure many will disagree though

I hope everyone else will share their own personal good news as well! It is so nice to hear

Are there any corroborations of the Sorrento breakthrough mentioned in the Fox (ick) news article above?

hate to be *that* person, but...

https://www.investors.com/news/technology/coronavirus-treatment-sorrento-says-it-has-cure/

"Further, Sorrento has only so far conducted testing in cells. In order to eventually gain Food and Drug Administration approval, Sorrento will need to test its coronavirus treatment in animals. Then, it will have to ask the FDA for permission to begin testing for safety and effectiveness in humans."

I think that the feeling of ickiness for me is that the article in Fox News seems like a big advertisement. A company that specifically chooses to do an "exclusive" with Fox News does so with the hope that the President will see it and mention their company. It's a lot of big talk to hype a stock price, and I just get an uneasy feeling about it.
