Many people will focus on staging their backyard to look like an outdoor living room like the interview setting.

I mean people with taste already do.

+1 This is nothing new, really backyard furniture is a novelty?

I’m talking the gardening plus the same furniture, rug, etc.

I’ve seen several articles about this already.

Plus: succulents.

It looks silly when someone looks like they raided Costco - can we all agree on that? Can we not go out and buy a bunch of heat lamps and a bunch of couches for the "outside living room"? Because we live in the DMV, and certainly not California. Keep the hillbilly reigned in, it is a thin line between small, quaint outside seating area and "oh look, an outside living room (ie: raided Costco. Four times.) ??!!" Please and thank you.

You thought she should know that they would confiscate her passport and drivers license and not let her go to lunch without permission?

I thought she should know that yes you curtsy to the queen and that you give up a lot of personal freedoms, absolutely.

Her claim that she thought it was just going to be like normal in meeting a boyfriend’s grandmother is laughable, also that she never googled anything about the royal family prior to/while dating Harry. It diminishes some of her credibility for the more serious allegations.

I agree.

In interviews before the wedding, she claimed that before meeting Harry, she didn't know who he was.

We are expected to believe this?

Yeah this is what I don’t get about her. Some of the blatant lies that are both ridiculous and easily refutable. What’s the point in making them? There is more than enough material to paint the BRF as the bad guy otherwise.

Right? It... didn't look like a living room? I'm poor by DCUM standards and I have backyard furniture...

Really? You have a backyard that looks like that? Kudos. If yes, you are indeed wealthy.

- Is MM kind of a fake clout chaser and a drama queen? Seems that way. And Harry's kind of an attention seeking drama queen too... they're clearly a match made in heaven.

- Is the BRF a bunch of cruel, cold, racist jerks who will shield a pedophile and many a cheater but not a mixed-race daughter in law and grandchild? Also yes.

This is exactly what I said in the previous thread. No one came away from that interview with their mind changed about either party, and I personally think both of your above things are true. There's no "good" person in all of this.

I’m not gonna lie. I’ve been looking for outdoor rugs since last night.

Rugs? Plural? Uh, no. We in in the DC area - one rug is more than sufficient for weather that is basically the opposite of California.

Doubtful. Tourism is a very big deal in Britain. And, where do the tourists go? Look it up.

Still find it hard to believe that Megan knew so little about Diana--she was 16 when she died and it was a very, very big deal. Clearly, Megan likes and is interested in the celebrity life. Kind of hard to feel too sorry for them since they just purchased a $15 million property. And, they couldn't afford security? Somehow, all that seemed a little shallow.

To me, neither side in this story is innocent of poor behavior.

People still go to Versailles even though the French monarchy hasn’t been around for 200+ years.

BINGO. I'm French and I find it bizarre that people act like living, "active" royals are part of tourism.

I had a friend say the royals are important for charity work. What if the £70 million that is spent on the royal family was spent on social services?

I'm thinking when she says she didnt Google Harry she doesnt mean it in the way we think of googling someone. She knew as much as probably any American would know about the Royals. Yes those Americans that care have watched Di/Charles wedding we have heard the stories throughout the years. But to actually be there in the midst is a whole other situation.

They said they could afford security but he said he was shocked that he in particular would not be afforded security as he was born into the danger and did not sigh up for it.

Anonymous wrote:My dear dcumers, you are so totally naive and blind.
Here is what is happening here, and it is plain and simple.

Harry blames the RBF for his mother's death, and before that, he blames them for how it was handled. He blames his dad and his grandma for all of it.
And they are to blame!
He is out for revenge, and he is taking them down.
You know the same way most of the dcum cuts off their parents and families cause they are toxic? Stop being hypocrites here; BRF is toxic; if they were your family, you would cut them off.
Also, it seems that Harry is not a spineless twit, regardless of what he might sound like. He is out for blood and blood he is getting. Why should he and Meghan take it quietly and be a good sport about it? Think about it, they crucified his mother, and for what? For wanting to have a real marriage and not turning a blind eye? Watch the documentary on Disney+, in her own words. What was done to Diana is nothing short of criminal behavior.
I, for one, am proud of him.

Diana died because she got in a car with a drunk driver and chose not to wear a seatbelt.

I think you are being unfair. It was a limo and most people I know don't wear seatbelts. Also, the Royal family is notorious for not wearing seat belts. Even the kids. When I mentioned that a few years ago people gave me grief because "it is on PRIVATE land" and they aren't driving that fast for the reason Prince George wasn't wearing one.

Outdoor furniture= wealthy in this area? OMG. Have you been to West Virginia people?

With so many "Martha Stewarts" in one place, really, where do I being. Can we not over do the "outdoor furniture" thing? It looks like hell. A few pieces is fine, but to go overboard looks ridiculous.

Diana provided an inheritance to Harry that is apparently his and separate from however the rest of it works. He said that and that he was very grateful for it.

Also by the time this thread ends, we might not have a British monarchy left.

Most likely something about race and inclusiveness. And hate won't be tolerated or something along those lines.

LOL its the royal family - he has no control over them and that's the problem. They kicked out the only minority, black, American member of the family. They can't just prop another one up and say 'look here!'. If they could have that person would have been on a 2-hour counter interview on the BBC at the age of 8. I said what I said.

Harry and Meghan left by themselves. And she isn't Black, btw.

To the Brits, MM is black.

She lost me at "I didn't Google him" when they started dating, and "I don't read the tabloids". Please!
If you start out on such a false note, made the rest of what she said dodgy. He seemed desperate to believe the narrative; honestly, at this point what option does he have?

She's such a liar. She's stated over and over again that her friends warned her about all the pressure, about the racism, about the press, she knew exactly what she was getting into.

And it was awful and they left.

You don't get to define her race for her. No one does, other than Meghan herself.
