Something you do that other parents probably judge and something you judge about other parents

I'm sure the parents judge me because I let my 4 year old climb trees. She can also play in the backyard by herself while I'm in the house.

I judge parents who shove tablets in their kids faces when their grocery shopping or waiting for a table at a restaurant or eating at a restaurant. My kid doesn't require constant entertainment to behave in public.

You have an overweight kid who has ADHD, with an unhealthy relationship with food and you are judging people for breastfeeding that is proven to prevent obesity and is better for their brain development? Oh the irony!!

Breastmilk is better for brain development and breastfeeding creates a sense of security for the children. Smart and high achieving kids do not get red-shirted. I think you may have MSBP.

Breastfeeding doesn't prevent obesity. Correlation vs causation. You aren't very smart.

The only parents I judge are the deadbeat dads/moms who abandon their children.

I probably do tons of things that DCUM would judge.

But only God can truly judge any of us.

Letting a child climb trees and play in the backyard isn't free range parenting. I was at a local cafe once and there were two filthy kids wandering around in the street barefoot while the mom was inside on her phone. That's free range parenting.

Breastfeeding is absolutely decreasing the obesity risk, and has been proven multiple times, using multilevel regression analyses on different populations, from Canada, to Korea, and to Uganda. Read plosone. Go back to school.

DP. You need to stop posting. You literally do not understand what these studies have shown. I am extremely familiar with them all and can cite them all in detail. You do not understand the science or what the papers concluded and those of us with the actual backgrounds here think what you have written is full of it, to put it mildly.

With all of the factors that can affect a child's development through the teen years, I'm laughing that someone is taking it all the way back to formula vs breastfeeding. No, one or the other isn't a major factor in whatever your teen is doing right now. lol I could give you a synopsis on 100 children and stick them right in front of you. The odds that you will accurately pick the the ones who were breastfeed is the same as if you were choosing blindly.

First of all, stop using LOL unless you're 15. Even then I'd discourage it. Second of all, she said people judge her for letting her 4 year old climb trees and play outside alone. I judge people who don’t potty train their kids until 3 or later (unless there’s something going on with special needs or other developmental challenges-then I have zero judgement).

My kids have never met my mother (their grandmother) or DH’s mother, because they are both addicts/highly dysfunctional and mean people. But I think people look at us and think maybe, just maybe, DH and I are the problem, not our mothers.
