Just one in a long, long list of things he has screwed up. |
+ 1,000,000 - It’s about time. No President has been able to fix it. When we shut it down, perhaps Mexico will finally step up. We shall see how Mexico responds to the border shut down. |
| Apparently some of you either don't know or don't care that closing the border will hurt American businesses and probably just make the problems even worse. |
Please share YOUR solution... |
Political beat poetry, that's a nice change of pace. |
|
Again, no President has yet to effectively address the border crisis. Let’s hope the current President finally does. |
Given that it's getting worse under him, I'm not holding my breath. |
They need to change the law and allow them to turn the people back. And, they also need to eliminate the law giving amnesty to someone who can "sponsor" a child. When Obama's DHS secretary and Obama's ICE director both say there is a crisis, it seems like the Dems would listen. |
There are lots of things that could be done. We don't have a shortage of jobs, unemployment is at a low, we hire them anyhow, that's who's picking your vegetables, who's working the grill at your favorite diner, who cleans your office, who's building the office building a block over. So how about reforming the worker visa process for starters? And thereby get them legally paying more into taxes et cetera? Let more workers come legally, shutting down a lot of the human smuggling and other activity? Less people asking for asylum? And how about legalizing marijuana, shutting down a lot of the drug smuggling? And how about actually addressing the opioid problem to reduce some of the other illegal drug smuggling? And how about so many other things that would reduce the need for illegal crossings? And how about we start working more effectively with El Salvador and Honduras to stabilize those countries so that less people are trying to flee them? But no, let's ignore those and a thousand other possible things that could be done and just focus solely on building a wall.
|
What's not to like is that it will hurt a lot of legitimate business, it will hurt trade, you can expect much of your produce to vanish from your grocery store, et cetera. That's the problem with conservatives, they constantly come up with knee-jerk simplistic answers to complicated issues and never think of the consequences. |
Speak for yourself, my friend. The invasion must S-T-O-P. DO whatever it takes. Stop making excuses. |
I hope he does shut it down because the economic devastation let loose will piss off businesses big time. Trump is his own worst enemy. Let him wreak havoc on all the people who depend on the thousands of legal border crossings that happen every day and see what happens to his poll numbers. idiot. |

Are we aware if sector leadership s retaining CBP agents who are able to retire? I know there is a $10,000 bonus to stay on for 3 extra years but, are previously politicized sector leaders offering this bonus to all agents?
Hmmm. |
| And after the offer has been made, are they actually signing the agents? These people are well under 50. |
|
Forgive me for this naive question, but why are the laws/policies not being introduced that would let the “asylum seekers” to be turned away? Also There is a “wait in Mexico” program, but is it only at the California checkpoints? I have read that the border agents and facilities are so overwhelmed that large numbers of “asylum seekers” are being released into the us without even having been processed, which supposedly means it’s like an officially blessed illegal entry?
