You are hearing OP's side of the story. Generally, folks like her don't acknowledge that their actions make matters worse. Rather than attempting to solve the problem, she exacerbates. If I were on the condo board or the building manager, I would send letters to her and her landlord each time she does something like the bicycle lock or the lawn chair in the pool. No one is going to evict her but they will document her past bad behavior. In case something bad happens in the building, the police will knock on OP's door first.

I'm sorry but this poor mom. How can you say if something happens in the building they will knock on OPs door first. This women doesn't sound like she is vandalizing or doing anything but caring about the building by wanting a lock on the roof access area. Why does this out a target on her back? I just don't get it.

OP started a crazy thread about the building manager. She revealed a lot of nutso details in that thread that were not revealed here. I was on Team OP until I saw the additional info that came out in that thread. It goes far beyond a roof gate lock.

OP has obviously been bought off by the condo president and the management company to say no more. She has been so empowered by this experience that she has gone to Linked-In and added her two summers of working VERY HARD at Baskin Robbins in the hope of snagging a high powered job in DC.

Really? What about the non-stop harassment you say you're getting from the building manager? Or have you rethought that characterization?

The non stop harassment so far this week has stopped. I don't know if the manager finally got a clue that I'm not trying to cause problems and just want to be left alone or if he boss told her to leave me alone because I'm not doing anything to justify her nasty behavior. I hope it stays this way. I haven't heard a word since Friday and it's awesome!

OP has officially been put in the "special category" by the manager and the management company. They will give her wide berth. Basically this means that her packages will mysteriously disappear for a few days, someone will forget to leave a note under her door or in her box about the fire alarm being tested, visitors won't be buzzed in, and her requests will be politely noted and immediately discarded.

OP, someone probably sent them this thread and they addressed the concerns but you just made things far worse for yourself. You didn't use any common sense by posting all the information about yourself and where you live. They may have stopped to speak with an attorney.

What did I post that is illegal? Why would they contact an attorney? Lawyers are expensive and this building and the management company are cheap. I didn't post anything that is worthy of an attorney's time or attention.

Saying a building and management company are cheap aren't grounds for a lawsuit or eviction. Nothing OP has posted including the name of the management company and building address are grounds for anything but a headache.
