That's wonderful!!! Great school, sweet kids, lovely community--have two there now. Welcome! One thing you might want to do is take a look at the directory to see if any kids in your child's year live in your neighborhood and reach out. We did that, it's so nice to have some kids in the neighborhood from the same school even if that don't end up in the same class.

I think sometime in August. You will probably be meeting with your buddy family before then though and will also get a welcome call from another family. If you haven't already a been. the flower mart is a great event to go to and a great way to see a bit of the community. Yes, it's open to everyone but the kids on the close do get especially excited about it since it's on their campus and parents from Beauvoir, NSC, and STA volunteer at the flower mart.

Its ok, PP. STA WL is real. My son goes there and he had friends who were outright "no's" the year he applied. Hang in there and re-apply if the WL doesnt work out. 6th and 7th are great years for "un-hooked" applicants.

I don't think you can go wrong with either NCS or Holton for the right kind of girl. I would note that you can easily see where NCS girls go to college because on the college guidance tab on their website is a link to the NCS academic profile that includes a list of where girls have gone for the last four years (and an indication of where 3 or more girls have gone). It also includes the test scores for the last class. So if that is the kind of thing that you care about, it actually is available pretty easily.

Beauvoir/STA parent here. I am sorry to hear this but if it makes you feel any better, this was a very tight year to get in because there are so many siblings, legacies, etc... applying. You can always reapply for 5th, 6th, or 7th. Good luck.

DS was WL at St.A. IS it REALLY a tough year w/siblings and legacies? This would help to know, as we don't know what he/we could have done differently. Wondering if worth applying next year.

Is it worth contacting admissions when the dust clears just for feedback on the application? If it's worth us applying again?
