Some of us click on to this thread to gawp at what revolting, misguided snobs you all are. You manufacture your own, needless drama. You actually think you are superior people. Where's my popcorn.

It's not so hard to believe "we're" superior when comments such as yours reveal a stunning lack of critical reading skills, insecurity disguised as reverse snobbery, and a misguided presumption that you know any or all of "our" motivations for sending our kids to private school.

I

Made absolutely no reference to your motivations. The two posts quoted were perfect examples of snobbery and needless bickering. Crying "your just jealous" is the lamest comeback. Put the sherry down and try again.

You didn't have to make any explicit references--your entire post reeks of the smugness of thinking you know other people's concerns and situations when in fact you know nothing of the sort. Interesting that you ignored PP's other criticisms--hit a little too close to home perhaps?

Of course you're welcome to come and "ogle at the natives" here and wallow in you self-righteousness, just don't be surprised when your sarcastic offerings are met with understandable derision.

Pardon me, do you have any grey poupon?

Typically lame retort. Go back to your reality TV shows.

We finally just heard my daughter was accepted as a legacy at Monster High.

Congrats!

Ours is following in her granddad's footsteps and going to Hard Knocks.

Still haven't heard about financial aid decision from school. This is a much needed answer before accepting.

Hogwarts - legacy - 6th.

Durmstrang Institute - if the financial aid works out. I can't keep flying back and forth to northern Europe unless they cough up some assistance.

Your kids are a bunch of losers if they didn't get into the big 3: Jedi Academy, Starfleet Academy, or Professor Xavier's School for the Gifted.

Hogwarts is nowhere a Big 3. Just look at Wizardry placement tests!

We feel that the atmosphere is toxic and borderline cultish at Jedi academy and starfleet. Not commenting on professor x's school for the gifted because I'm not sending my kid to New York for school. Please. Our choice is Beaubaxtons, where the real movers and shakers send their kids to school.

Oh my God autocorrect ruined my life! I meant to type Beauxbatons! I hope our acceptance won't be rescinded!!

I have kids in both public and private and I think it is interesting that by page 20 of this thread the ACTUAL parents of children accepted have left the discussion because for better or worse, they are DONE. They have found the information they needed, helpful or not. They either got support or an increase in anxiety over the days when admissions letters came out.

All that is left are the sad, pathetic gawkers who need to make fun of other people's decisions to send their kids to private school, because they either couldn't or wouldn't do so.

These onlookers need to deride others to make themselves feel better. So sad, please get a hobby or go back to the public school threads.

Anonymous wrote:Jedi Academy rejected finally. They didn't email us but used the force to convey their decision. We are fine though we got into two of the big three--starfleet academy and Hogwarts. Wait listed at Professor Xavier's school for the Gifted. Was told a lot of mutants applied this year.

Ouch. I have yet to hear anything. I really hope that means an acceptance via snail mail, but I am trying hard not to get my hopes up. We were accepted at Hogwarts, but my husband was really hoping for JA (Jedi Academy).
