Typically lame retort. Go back to your reality TV shows. |
| We finally just heard my daughter was accepted as a legacy at Monster High. |
Congrats! Ours is following in her granddad's footsteps and going to Hard Knocks. |
| Still haven't heard about financial aid decision from school. This is a much needed answer before accepting. |
On the fast track to Monsters University...... |
| We've jumped the shark. |
| Foxcroft - 9th |
| Hogwarts - legacy - 6th. |
| Durmstrang Institute - if the financial aid works out. I can't keep flying back and forth to northern Europe unless they cough up some assistance. |

Your kids are a bunch of losers if they didn't get into the big 3: Jedi Academy, Starfleet Academy, or Professor Xavier's School for the Gifted.
Hogwarts is nowhere a Big 3. Just look at Wizardry placement tests! |
We feel that the atmosphere is toxic and borderline cultish at Jedi academy and starfleet. Not commenting on professor x's school for the gifted because I'm not sending my kid to New York for school. Please. Our choice is Beaubaxtons, where the real movers and shakers send their kids to school. |
Oh my God autocorrect ruined my life! I meant to type Beauxbatons! I hope our acceptance won't be rescinded!! |

I have kids in both public and private and I think it is interesting that by page 20 of this thread the ACTUAL parents of children accepted have left the discussion because for better or worse, they are DONE. They have found the information they needed, helpful or not. They either got support or an increase in anxiety over the days when admissions letters came out.
All that is left are the sad, pathetic gawkers who need to make fun of other people's decisions to send their kids to private school, because they either couldn't or wouldn't do so. These onlookers need to deride others to make themselves feel better. So sad, please get a hobby or go back to the public school threads. |

Ouch. I have yet to hear anything. I really hope that means an acceptance via snail mail, but I am trying hard not to get my hopes up. We were accepted at Hogwarts, but my husband was really hoping for JA (Jedi Academy). |
