They have found the information they needed, helpful or not. They either got support or an increase in anxiety over the days when admissions letters came out.

All that is left are the sad, pathetic gawkers who need to make fun of other people's decisions to send their kids to private school, because they either couldn't or wouldn't do so.

These onlookers need to deride others to make themselves feel better. So sad, please get a hobby or go back to the public school threads.

And what pray, are YOU doing on page 20?

PP here I was on page 20-something, checking out the entire post for trolls, and as usual I found myself defending the parents who dared to post their children's admissions. These forums are very helpful for parents actually going through the process. The trolls who love to populate these sites clearly do not have kids in private school but enjoy mocking and deriding the parents who are going through the admissions process with their children. As I said in the previous post, I have kids in private and public and see the benefits of both. I do not understand why people who have chosen another route feel the need to criticize and bully others, and really diminish DC urban moms in general.

The problem is that you can not prevent envy and resentment... these trolls are always looking at other peoples and not at their sorry life...

Hogwarts is nowhere a Big 3. Just look at Wizardry placement tests!

You forgot Vidal Sassoon Academy!

Some of us click on to this thread to gawp at what revolting, misguided snobs you all are. You manufacture your own, needless drama. You actually think you are superior people. Where's my popcorn.

It's not so hard to believe "we're" superior when comments such as yours reveal a stunning lack of critical reading skills, insecurity disguised as reverse snobbery, and a misguided presumption that you know any or all of "our" motivations for sending our kids to private school.

I

Made absolutely no reference to your motivations. The two posts quoted were perfect examples of snobbery and needless bickering. Crying "your just jealous" is the lamest comeback. Put the sherry down and try again.

You didn't have to make any explicit references--your entire post reeks of the smugness of thinking you know other people's concerns and situations when in fact you know nothing of the sort. Interesting that you ignored PP's other criticisms--hit a little too close to home perhaps?

Of course you're welcome to come and "ogle at the natives" here and wallow in you self-righteousness, just don't be surprised when your sarcastic offerings are met with understandable derision.

Pardon me, do you have any grey poupon?

Please choose Beauvoir! I have no affiliation but it's truly the best out of your choices.
My daughter attended Browne for a few years.

We are choosing Beauvoir! Thanks! We just checked the portal for Sidwell and did not get in, but I am too happy with our admissions to Beauvoir to care! AND Beauvoir gave us a very respectable FA award!!! We are over the moon. Still waiting to hear from GDS and CHDS, but we are confident Beauvoir is where we are accepting.

Wow. The schools you applied have a wide range of geography between them. You must be rather prepared for the possibility of a long commute.

I literally Laughed out loud... I think this forum is an amazing resource and an even more amazing place for entertainment in a stressful time where parents are just trying to get their children on track for the rest of their lives. Its a cold world, so for those who are worried about this thread having 20 pages, you really have your priorities mixed up.

Actually they don't. Burgundy and Browne are down the street from each other. CHDS, Sidwell, GDS and Beauvoir are all in DC. Considering we made a choice before you even posted this comment, I'm not sure what your point really is...other than just to have something to say. LOL.

But since you are obviously interested we did get into GDS and CHDS. We chose Beauvoir.
