Speaks works during the summer. |
ok coach. lmao |
How’d that work out for them this spring? Couldn’t even make it out of the quarterfinals. |
I seriously spit out my drink reading this 😅. I watched that Heights kid play 1 game and he is the best HS lacrosse player I’ve seen since Jack Myers at Gonzaga in 2018. He was 100% undoubtedly, undeniably, without question the WCAC POTY. Probably best HS player in 5-10 years. And btw he just committed to Navy! |
This is a satire post, right. C'mon Richie, don't try so hard. Comparing 5'10" 180 lbs lsm at the Heights vs 6'4" 210 at GZ is an insult. Myers led a loaded Gonzaga team for 4 years in assists and is the all-time everything at GZ. Good player. Happy this worked out for the kid and the family and Navy did a good thing. Welcome to NAPS. |
PG year first. Then NAPS. Then Navy. |
The GZ lsm was not good this year, put on too much weight due to the weight training, and lost some of his speed. He was not nearly as dominant as when he was a sophmore or junior.
All the best to him at Yale. He will need to get faster if he ever wants to step on the field. |
Lacrosse is a fieldsport, after all. Just like all the field sports the higher up you go in playing level from high school to pro, the more important speed and quickness are. Very few of, the local kids will get significant playing minutes at their D1 schools due to this aspect. |
Ok |
I agree with this right up to the end. Speed training makes a big difference and in fact is very complementary to putting on size (ever see a sprinter? friggin hulking). If someone wants to get faster and have better footwork while muscling up, they totally can. Comes down to the commitment. If they want it, it's doable. So, can't agree with the blanket statements bc who TF knows who wants it that much and who doesn't? It's one reason the portal is so valuable to coaches - proven desire once away from parental influence. |
Yikes. |
Did anyone else see the GZ graduation banner with the “and #42 too” on the bottom. Way to make the entire graduation about your kid who didn’t do much on the field all year. Cornball |
The first 2027 SJC has revealed themselves as either a total cheat by doing the future reclass fraud or by reclassing and transferring but still competing down bc they are not a 2028 yet. Congratulations, you still aren’t very good. Let us know what d2 school gets you. |
Wouldn't he be better off playing a 27 schedule this summer to get more college eyes on him? |
So, given that this is an 11-year path laid out here (1yr PG, 1 yr NAPS, 4 yrs USNA, 5 yrs active duty - if you dont want to pay back the entirety of your tuition, assuming you make it through to graduation), I get the yikes. But, thats some first class education in those first 6 yrs, and the careers following the 5 yr commitment are definitely pretty strong options-wise and AI-resilient wise. So, I can see why that's not a yikes for the player or his family. |
