Wouldn't he be better off playing a 27 schedule this summer to get more college eyes on him?

Not doing that bc he’s not that good. Doesn’t want to embarrass himself by playing against like players.

is this a d-pole who plays(ed) for MadLax 2027?

I don't believe so.

You aren't paying attention. The showcase blasted it all over instagram with his name, ig account and wearing the sjc helmet.

I can't follow all of the rumors on here.

A SJC kid (who also plays for Mad Lax) is transferring (to what school) and reclassifying grad years?

What showcase. Only one I've seen blasted all over IG is The Show for 2027 players.

Dematha fan?

No just thought how every team got 3 HMs was interesting. 7/10 goalies got something and felt like SJC players were a little over represented especially given injuries.

How does this work? Do coaches nominate players and there's a vote?

Coaches meet and vote. Hyper political go to shove all their own kids through. Kinda shocked that they actually got POTY right with that Heights kid.

Head scratcher pick.

I don't see how it was a head scratcher at all to be honest. He had like 70 CTOs guarding #1's and scored like every game. Single handledly put a that very mediocre team in a close game against us and a lot of others.

A good player on a bad team not headed to anywhere bc the schools didn't see it. Moral coming close but not winning. The Heights won a grand total of one WCAC game this year against the top 8 teams. This is a typical everyone gets trophy award and a slap for the better schools and players.

I seriously spit out my drink reading this 😅. I watched that Heights kid play 1 game and he is the best HS lacrosse player I’ve seen since Jack Myers at Gonzaga in 2018.

He was 100% undoubtedly, undeniably, without question the WCAC POTY. Probably best HS player in 5-10 years.

And btw he just committed to Navy!

This is a satire post, right. C'mon Richie, don't try so hard.

Comparing 5'10" 180 lbs lsm at the Heights vs 6'4" 210 at GZ is an insult. Myers led a loaded Gonzaga team for 4 years in assists and is the all-time everything at GZ.

Good player. Happy this worked out for the kid and the family and Navy did a good thing. Welcome to NAPS.

Anotha one! Heights LSM just won All-Met POTY (WCAC, IAC, some MIAA, VSL, MAC, MCPS, etc).

He’s the best player in the area, probably country, just admit it. Every coach in the area seems to agree!

You’re salty that your son rode the bench all year. This kid was averaging 7 takeaways, 10 groundballs, and 2 goals per game against Gonzaga, St. John’s, DeMatha, Good Counsel, etc.

What were his stats? Don't tell me he had 133 takeaways, 190 gb's and 38 goals as a lsm?

Dude, they won 1 game in the WCAC against the top 8. He's a very good player but adding in McM, DOJ, YT and a few other dogs helps a lot.

The poy was easily the fogo at Landon, the most important player on the best team in the area.

Is your son the Landon Fogo? Even Landon’s coach disagree because he nominated the attackman over Fogo.

Heights LSM was undisputed All-Met MVP. Lame DCUM dad don’t know more than WCAC coaches & Metro-area coaches. He’s also a UsA Lacrosse All-American, so apparently you know more than national recruiters.

Go pick on someone your own size; (Sike - he’s about 5x stronger than you)

5’10” 180 doesn’t scare a lot of people.

Local 5'9" 175 has led NCAA D1 in CTs the last 3 years. Just saying.

He is All Met player of the year. He must have scared somebody.

By the way, when will the all met teams be announced?

The IG account for the Show is "The Show.2028", so it's easy to get confused and think last weekend's event was a showcase for 2028 players, but it was in fact only for 2027 players.

not a good look that a team that didn't even make it to the WCAC semi finals is the Wash Post POY.

Congrats on going to Navy though and thank you for your service.

Seriously, do you even have an iota of self awareness that this reads like a slap at a kid who: (1) while on the low end of mid-tier teams for the area; (2) still managed to impress enough coaches - you know, people who actually watch and know a lot of lacrosse - to be named POY; and (3) decides to make a decade-long commitment to serve his country? I get it, The Heights was overhyped and got several reality checks once they got into the meat of their schedule. Reality checks that still had opposing coaches saying "Hey, that kid's pretty good." What the actual f*** is wrong with you mopes?!?

Sincerely,

A decidedly non-Heights lax parent.

Thou shalt not ever criticize an opinion poll of the Washington Post or DCUM (even though every post says he's a good player)

the best player in the area is the Spalding LSM - Roy Cooper.
