His words are just face saving tactics. I do not trust anything McCarthy say. He is power hungry and can change his mind if sees any path.

He has no power to do so (doesn't have the power to move Pelosi's office either). The only power he has is to hold an election for the new Speaker.

I wonder if he's constitutionally the speaker. The constitution says the house has to chose its speaker, but he wasn't chosen by the house. Kevin chose him.
