There are bills in most red states. Laws in many passed.

Yet you can't present any of them.

FL passed one that restricts gender affirming care from being provided by nurse practitioners even though 80% of the trans ppl in that state receive care from them. I have a trans friend that has had vaginoplasty and therefore no longer produces any testosterone in her body. Her provider told her that they cannot give her care any longer. Therefore she has no way of receiving hormones in her body.

FL blocked gender affirming care *for youth*. Way to leave out that critical aspect.

What I simply can not understand nor will I ever understand is the Democrat logic for crime stating that we need to be lenient on young criminals because youth have terrible decision making skills since the human adult brain does not fully develop until our 20s, yet here Democrats say youth below 18 have perfectly capable decision making skills regarding their sexuality and for making healthcare decisions that could permanently alter or harm their bodies.

You can’t have it both ways. Either minors have mature enough brains to allow them to pick sexuality and make informed decisions for crime and should be punished, or they can’t make mature, well informed decisions. Which is it? The hypocrisy is astounding. You can’t make this stuff up:

https://katv.com/news/nation-world/maryland-bill-would-prevent-anyone-under-25-from-being-charged-with-felony-murder-democratic-delegate-charlotte-cruchfield-justice-reform-youth-accountability-and-safety-act

You are factually wrong. They passed a law banning nurse practitioners from providing gender affirming care for anyone of any age. My friend is a 30 something adult trans woman and has no way of getting hormones right now other than the fact that she has a small amount saved up.

It seems your trans friend has never heard of a medical doctor. Are there none in the whole state of Florida?

Now we're moving the goal posts from this isn't affecting adults to just find an MD. As though most doctors are capable of taking on six times the number of patients they already have. I showed you that Republicans are going after adults. That's not good enough for you? Republicans can never admit when they were wrong.

Plenty of gay people are concerned about the excesses of TQ activism and, frankly, there's not much in common between being LGB and TQ. If I worry about anything, it is that the backlash against TQ activism may hurt LGB despite that we have little in common with TQ. Gays and Lesbians aren't asking for science to be redefined to allow people to "change" gender nor do we cause controversy by demanding access to traditional gender spaces of the opposite gender. Nor did we cause a ruckus with the weird pronoun demands nor push something that is biologically impossible, such as non binarism. Nor did we demand people start using terms like birthing parent instead of pregnant mother.

My advice to the trans and queen activists is to stop dragging gays and lesbians into your activism in order to provide you with legitimacy.

Well said. It's so annoying when someone raises a concern about, say, minors having puberty blockers, and then the left responds "you hate gay people." What?! The two things aren't related. You don't even have to hate or fear trans people to be concerned about a minors capacity to consent to life changing medical treatment.

It's not about minors anymore. Republicans are blocking it for adults too.

Which states have blocked adults from accessing transition care?

Florida is trying

No we cannot. Because those rights are at issue. And a big part of the right dehumanizes or is offended by LGBTQ and their existence. Those people are my family, my friends, my neighbors, people I care about. So no, I'm not ok with dismissing or "moving on" just b/c that is easier for you.

1.Mind your own business but don't flaunt sexual activity in front of children. That goes for heterosexual and homosexual activity.
2. No transition for children. Some kids think they are superheroes. We don't let them jump off tall buildings to see if they can fly.
3. Don't call people bigots because they think kids should not have surgery a la Dr. Mengele.

When you say sh-- like this, comparing transition to a Nazi torture doctor, you are in fact a bigot.

First, you made a statement that your friend is no longer able to get her hormone shots. That is not true. Second, being redirected to see a doctor and not a NP, is not rolling back your rights.

The right really does have an allergy to admitting they are wrong.
