Wow. So...essentially, you don't think it matters very much that they have killed off the Roma, the homosexuals, the Soviet POW and the disabled. You don't know that they've considered Slavs an inferior race as well and planned to systematically starve them to death to open up their lands for German conquests. You don't know that they've starved a million people to death in the besieged Leningrad. You don't know that they've burned scores of villages in Soviet Ukraine and Belorussia with people locked in their houses. Or you know, but these people don't matter much to you, and certainly not the point of deserving any kind of commemoration.

Dp here. The statement wasn’t that there was another group of people that large, it was that the 6 million Jews killed were by far the majority of those killed. Generally speaking, there an understanding that approximately 12 million people died in the Holocaust, so while Jews were the largest targeted group, they were not necessarily the “vast majority” of its victims.

The 6m +6m = 12m fact speaks for itself. you can spin it, rank it, reframe it, deny it, lie about it, exaggerate it, argue that half of a number is a majority, whatever you want, that’s on you.

So 6 million christians were also killed.

Yes, an almost equal number of Jews and non-Jews were killed.

But the point is that the Holocaust was a stated campaign to exterminate all Jews from the earth, and the Nazi's were successful enough to wipe out ONE THIRD of all living Jews on the planet.

There was no such campaign to eliminate Christians as a group or inferior race.

Do you understand now? Or do you need some book and documentary suggestions?

Race is a social contract and so what race means in a particular time and country will be different. The Nazis thought they were the Aryan race, which was defined to exclude Jews.

Race is defined as “a category of humankind that shares certain distinctive physical traits.” The term ethnicities is more broadly defined as “large groups of people classed according to common racial, national, tribal, religious, linguistic, or cultural origin or background.

I’m not sure what you’re struggling with. Nazis viewed Jews as a race. The exterminated six million Jews on that basis. Where this fits into 2022 talk of intersectionality does not matter.
