I have zero problem with this. I love talking guns with other gun people. They can hang out at my place and we’ll order pizza and talk about about various upgrades and accessories!

See, unlike you, I’m not afraid of seeing black guys with guns. You obviously think that’s something to fear.

The NRA was once strongly in favor of gun control because of black people open carrying.

You are an anomaly. The vast majority of your like-minded gun fetishists would freak out if this happened and you know it.

My distaste for open carry has nothing to do with skin color. This is America, not Somalia or Afghanistan. Stop trying to make us look like a lawless jurisdiction by arming legends in their own mind with weapons of mass destruction.

I wouldn’t know, I’ve never been an NRA member. I’m a JPFO, GOA and SAF member.

Go to the gun show in Chantilly sometime and you’ll see plenty of my “like minded gun fetishists” walking the show aisles right next to black guys doing the same exact thing. Gun culture doesn’t care what color you are.

That’s what’s keeping your tiny, hateful racist mind from processing it. You simply don’t understand your enemy. You only understand the cliches you parrot.

But we definitely understand you.

Ok, for starters, I'm a gun owner. I'm not a member of any of those radical neo-fascist organizations you seem proud of. I'm also secure enough as a man and a gun owner that I don't need a "gun culture" to celebrate.

I'm also a better American than you.

The bit about my "tiny racist mind" is amusing, though. Let's review: The cosplay clowns who walk around with their guns and are legends in their own mind are by and large rejects of the military or could never be employed by law enforcement. So, they like to go play at "militias." They are inherently tied to white supremacy groups. And, in my experience, those who say loudest "I'm not racist because some of my friends, er fellow gun owners, are black" are inherently racist because they lack any understanding of their white privilege and in fact actively resist recommendations that they examine it.

I'm sure you think you're a good person. But you're not. Anyone who would normalize open carrying of weapons in a peaceful society is garbage.

Sounds like Virginia really isn't for you. Maybe you should move to Mogadishu? I'm told beachfront property is cheap there.

The fact that you think Jews for the Preservation of Firearm Ownership (JPFO) is “a radical neofascist organization” is proof of your clownshoe credentials.

I think you’re done here.

Yes, I thing that Jews for the Preservation of Firearm Ownership is a radical neofascist organization.

I'm sorry, was I supposed to think otherwise because the word Jews is in the title? What, did you think using the word Jews would somehow inoculate a group that believes gun control is always totalitarianism and genocide? That ties gun laws to Nazism? Or that says the Gun Control Act of 1968 as lifted "almost in its entirety from Nazi legislation?'

Yes, that's crazy radical. Who cares that it's Jews that think this. What a crazy idea that jews couldn't possibly have insane ideas. Wow.

You're on a roll. I like you.

Different poster, but you really do live in a fantasy of your own making, don't you? Other people fit so nicely into your judgmental, bigoted views.

You keep using that word. Don't make me go all Inigo Montoya on you. Not wanting to live in a community where people openly display weapons as part of day-to-day life is not "bigoted."

As for judgmental? Oh, yes, I completely judge chickenshits who have to strap on an AR-15 to walk through the grocery store or go to Starbucks. I mean, I also have openly mocked them to their face, too, so it's not like I snicker at them. The irony is palpable -- we all agree mentally ill people shouldn't have guns. But anyone who would do this has more than a few screws loose. Someone should absolutely come and confiscate their guns.

Mind you, I've no problem with seeing people walking around with rifles when I hunt. Because that's an appropriate time and place. But the person who's trying to provoke a reaction by prattle on about non-existent threats to 2A rights while standing around equipped for war in Old Town at the Farmer's Market? Yeah, I'm going to (and have) mocked that, harassed that and will judge that.

Your rant against the character of someone who is carrying a firearm is bigoted. Yes, it is.

I was a kid when the NRA supported FOPA’86. That turned me off of them forever. Years later, when Wayne’s dirty laundry about his various financial scandals, including his clothing allowance, came out, I was affirmed in my own mind that even as a kid I knew they weren’t to be trusted. Although I DO financially support their Eddie Eagle safety program for kids. But nothing else.

Alan Gura has singlehandedly done more to secure victories for gun rights than the entire NRA has in it’s whole existence. That’s why I support the SAF. And as part of a Jewish family, I support JPFO for their work. And GOA doesn’t give their lobbyists $260,000 annual wardrobe allowances, so I know my money isn’t paying for someone’s $6,000 silk tie.

They are lazy and racist. Everytime this comes up they claim the inconvenience too great and POC can't handle obtaining documents like birth certificates. The DMV gives you a checklist of docs you need, it's really quite simple

It's amazingly patronizing the way they claim POC and poor people in general can't manage to obtain ID. Liberals are the worst.

I turned 18 in 1999 and voted my first two elections by absentee ballot in Europe. I was SHOCKED when I came back to the U.S. and voted in person for the first time in 2008 and just had to give my name and address while some old lady checked it off on a printed piece of paper. I literally asked her how she knows I'm me and she was like "we just believe you." lmao. Ridiculous

I have always been required to show ID when voting in VA. Happy to do so.
DP

You must not have voted in many elections. It was fairly brief window when VA had a voter id requirement.

I’m in my 50s - plenty of elections under my belt, thanks! I have always been asked to provide ID. Not sure where you’ve been voting…

Virginia’s photo id law only went into effect in 2013.

I don't remember ever NOT being asked for ID - whether it was legally required or not, I've always been asked and I've always shown one. Not sure what your point is.
