Honey, there is already open carry. Yes, there are local restrictions on so-called "assault weapons" but what are you so scared of? It's just a firearm.

Nah, people aren't going to uproot themselves for a Governor who is around for 4 years and can't be elected to a consecutive term. Proposed bills take a while to wind through the system so at most you might see a couple noteworthy pieces of legislation per a Governor's term and a lot of smaller laws and changes that you hardly notice.
