| I don’t get pot fillers. I always let the water run for a min before filling any pot. I think it’s gross to use the sitting water in the pipe to fill the pot. |
| We bought our house last summer. It has a pot filler and we haven’t used it so far. If they were running an extra water line I would’ve much preferred a water source at the coffee station. We make coffee every day. I make pasta once a month. |

I spent $3k on a sectional that is uncomfortable. The cushions are too full, the seat depth is too narrow for our long-legged family, the arm rests are too low, and the worst part is that you really can’t get in a comfy position to take a nap, even though the room is perfect for napping. Drives me insane, but I can’t justify buying a new one yet. My plan is to put it in the basement when the kids are a little older and get a new one.
Makes me mad every time I sit on it. |
I hope you don't live on the West Coast. |
The water sitting in the pipes is more likely to have lead in it. I’d prefer that my children not invest more lead than is necessary. |
Couldn’t you sell it for maybe $1k and buy a new sofa you love? It’s not worth it to be mad every day. Our super comfy sofa is from IKEA and was $800. Just a thought so that you can improve your daily life. |
We cook fresh every night, and still do not use it! PP here. |
| Wish we had moved attic door out of a bedroom to hallway. Might require moving walls now b/c of clearance needs so would have been better when we did huge renovations. Such a pain and need to access it regularly for HVAC. |

Didn’t put electrical in behind vanities and realized too late they were wired for a little USB charger abd curling iron drawer
|
| OP here: to those who asked, I regret not adding a hallway when we were doing renovations. Now we either have to walk through the bathroom to get to the other side or go back around the front. I regret the style of the kitchen island, we should have had it more open. And also, we should have put a window in the bathroom. Made the best decisions we could at the time I guess. |

Regret flooring choice (bamboo because it is sustainable, but has so many dings/dents I hate it).
Location of recessed lights in the kitchen. They are so random, rather than thoughtfully or logically placed. Finally, I wish we had placed some pocket doors in locations that are generally open. Not so much an issue now, but when the kids were little, and we were entertaining, there was no way to close off the open floor plan that we love, to keep the noise from floating upstairs and keeping them up. Would have been easy to do at the time, now there is electrical and other things in those walls. |
Which sectional is this? Want to be aware. |
| I have time choice regrets - entryway floor and kitchen backsplash. At the time my boys were small and I couldn’t make the time to really focus. Good news is that after 15 years I barely notice anymore. If it were an uncomfortable couch I’d replace it. But time is so messy and expensive to redo. |
Ummm… This is a DC area site. |
| I have a couple friends that say they regret using glass / mosaic tile in bathrooms because it looks dated already. |
