“Insanely wasteful?”

Wow that is weird. Do you not drink the water that comes out of the pipe? Even filtered fridge water was sitting somewhere. Do you let the water run before brushing your teeth? Do you realize that the water all travels thru the same pipes?

Didn’t ask for outlets in the walk in closet. I’m annoyed every time i vacuum and the outlet seems like it’s a mile away

I used to do most work myself. I had a demanding job. Gone maybe 69-65 hours a week at work. Three young kids. A fixer upper house and stay at home wife.

My regret not hiring folks, not pre ordering materials and in mad rush tons of short cuts I look at all the time.

Duct tape on plumbing, inside nails outside, non pressure treated scrap wood outside, stick on linoleum tiles on top of cracked marble, missing white flashing just painting wood white, changing breaker to larger Amo to stop flickering lights.

I don’t regret the work I later hired folks to do professionally but why did I try to fix so much with limited tools, time or skills?

Thank god I cemented shut hole I made to do some foundation work. I used cinder blocks, pressure treat wood, Rocks and a car Jack! I think I went overboard.

I sold house. I did my best to undo my handiwork. But I can’t remember it all. I recall once at Ace around closing time bought flex seal can and fixed roof leak.

I'd say the opposite - ASK for an outlet in any closet you might use to store a cordless vacuum. We have them in our laundry room closet and front hall closet. I keep Dyson cordless vacuums plugged in those closets. They're out of sight but quickly accessible.

They are illegal in some towns. Weird building codes on outlets in closets

I had outlets added to our closets. If there is an outlet outside the closet, it’s pretty easy. Totally worth it. Vacuum, steamer, printer, shredder, chargers…

I’ll eventually swap them out, but we’re just so glad to be done with construction that I can’t bear the thought of having one more thing done right now.

What 's the benefit of the Toto? We were going to replace the toilet in the primary bath but keep the workable one in the guest bathroom.

We regret not putting in medicine cabinets in our kids bathroom when we renovated. It makes such a difference on keeping the counters clear.

So wasteful, and already out of date.

Looks like we were trying to show off, or something.

I would totally use that. I cook a lot and it would come in handy.

I use mine all the time.

Does PP think that after a minute the water is coming directly from the reservoir?

You would need to let it run for several minutes.

I regret not refinishing the floors in our 100 year old house before we moved in 10 years ago. Now there is too much stuff to move to even do it room by room.
Also regret replacing a broken window with a cheaper one when we didnt have that much $$. All the others we have been slowly doing are a better quality.

We just moved into a home with no medicine cabinet in the kids bathroom or primary bathroom. Primary bathroom vanity is double sink but no drawers, just cabinets under the sinks.

It's driving me nuts!! I don't want to store things like meds or bandaids underneath a sink near pipes and where I have toilet bowl cleaner, etc.

For now, I am storing it all in the linen closet but it is my biggest complaint about the house and likely first thing we'll fix.

I’ve DIY’d a couple of medicine cabinets. They are easy to install, even if you have to cut a (non load-bearing) stud.

I love moroccan tiles- do you mean the arabesque shapes? I'm still warming up to DO that eventually. Is it already passé?

No not the arabesque, the patterned Moroccan tile. Mine are neutral colors and I’m still over it. I don’t think the trend has ended and the tiles are beautiful. I just hate when everything is overdone.

I don’t get this. Either you like it or you don’t. Disliking something because it’s popular is just as bad as liking something because it’s popular.

I’m not sure what you aren’t getting. You can like something and still wish you hadn’t done it. It’s not about being popular it’s bout seeing it every where and being sick of it. Hopefully that clears it up for you.

It does clear it up. It’s about being a snob.

DP. Stop taking her opinion personally. If you love your Moroccan tiles, enjoy them.

Same. Makes no sense to me not to have at least one outlet.
