At U17 and older coaches are more concerned about players getting committed than they are with results. |
And not having the U17 results count towards some "national" playoff would actually enhance the coaches ability to do that instead of throwing a wrench in the works. Don't see how this structure helps with recruiting. |
Not true. You obviously were never an athlete with that mentality |
Ok. Correction. The families of the kids that pay for all the nonsense. The kids play to win every time, every one of them. |
It does not assist recruiting. It should be changed |
The point was, the coach does not have to coach the event for the sole purpose of results. If they have kids who are not yet recruited the coach will play them. This isn't that hard. |
Yep. That’s correct |
+1 isn’t that the main purpose of this league? I don’t see championship medal or team ranking as the ticket to college. |
And could be less hard if the ECNL would just adjust the structure of the event. What is helpful for recruiting is to have an event structured for the purpose of recruiting. This isn't that hard. |
It isn't hard at all. A club coach during prime recruiting years is going to what is necessary to get players committed. It doesn't really matter what you call the event. How hard is this to understand? |
Games must have meaning in order for kids to show. The kids are being seen. Stop the non-sense. ECNL knows what they’re doing |
| Or course they do. They are making money. They are not helping the recruiting by having the stakes at a showcase be other then showcasing. Maybe your players need incentive to show but most do not. Our players always show up regardless of the stakes. |
Oh brother. Even the almighty ECNL is not perfect and could use improvements. |

Lol. Why? If there is anyone convinced of the perfection of the ECNL it is probably that guy. |
