The vast majority of the U15-U17 players attending are not committed. On some teams, committed players can opt not to attend, leaving more playing time for others.

As for the games counting towards a national playoff, this is a compensation for league play being more localized. Note that this showcase does not count towards seeding for Champions League teams. It only applies for the NA cup and down. It provides a leveling effect to some degree, however the seeding is questionable here. It doesn't matter too much though because everyone has to deal with it.[/quote]
