Why do we need national rankings?

Can u read? I said have at it for U 15 if you want. It is not helpful for the kids that need to get recruited now. Have a real showcase for the older players to play for the coaches. At a minimum do east and west events...and 4 quadrants would make more sense.

Some mid level patriot league program where 90 percent of the kids are from within a few states over need to drag everyone out to california or florida to recruit? it is stupid.

The top kids that want to play for the top D1 programs are already recruited by U 17 so do something that helps the majority that are financing all this.

Only US soccer could have pushed back to improve things but they totally blew it. Only ones wiht ony power at all to improve the situation are the coaches themselves. If they are complacent with all this and all this is how it will stay.

Can’t get any closer unless it’s in VA itself.

As long as the college coaches are going and the uncommitted kids are getting the opportunity to play what do you care?

I get it, the travel, but you KNEW this going into ECNL already. Their showcasing has not changed in over a decade. Sorry you don't like it but it is user error, not the league.

As long as the college coaches are going and the uncommitted kids are getting the opportunity to play what do you care?

I get it, the travel, but you KNEW this going into ECNL already. Their showcasing has not changed in over a decade. Sorry you don't like it but it is user error, not the league.

The opportunity to play are improved where the results are not counting towards any standing and the focus is on showcasing the players. It is a better format where the main purpose of the event matches the structure of the event.

And so what if they do? The coach does not need to let that affect rostering decisions for uncommitted players. If your coach doesn't play uncommitted players in this event the problem is with your coach not the event.

A showcase format takes that pressure off all the less than perfect ecnl coaches, and there are PLENTY of those, that are influenced by the format of the event. This is not difficult to understand for anyone but you.

Y’all are too busy thinking about yourself and not the league as a whole and that’s why it doesn’t make sense.

Recruiting budgets is a huge factor. Getting everyone together in a central location is at the request of the recruiters….not you.
