You really should read it all. He made some predictions in there that she was now on a mission to take down the royal family and to get her way about that. And he boldly stated that it wouldn't go well for her.
I think he has woefully underestimated her.
But, that doesn't mean he was wrong about the motive.

Not a Piers fan. But I can also divorce my distaste for Piers enough to see that he probably had her figured out from the beginning. And he was fine with it. Enjoyed it actually, until it unexpectedly bit him. He just didn't realize he'd be one of the ones she stepped on along her way up and his ego wasn't having it.

I didn't read this as PP saying that Meghan was like a literal spy on a mission to "destroy the crown" or whatever. But I can see PPs point about her seeking the adoration of fans on a "Diana-level" and when that wasn't working out for her she wasn't going to stand for it. Piers was clearly mocking her in that article and implying that she and her narcissism was no match for the institution of the monarchy. He just got it wrong.

Yes, they used to be gossipy chums and she'd come into town and they'd meet up for a pint and dish about the who's who of Britain and the ins and outs of Hollywood. It doesn't appear that they dated at all. It wasn't that. It was that he enjoyed the flattery of her wanting to be in his company and he was a big shot. At the time, HE was a big deal. And suddenly, she got her in with Harry and ghosted Piers like yesterday's news. He got his feelings hurt, but in a monstrous way. It is amazing how this attractive and intelligent woman has men wrapped around her finger and then ready to destroy her. Morgan is bat shit crazy when it comes to her. Her own father adored her and she was the Golden and now he wants to destroy her.
