He loves playing the villain. It pays the bills.

I would add “Black” to this list, because I think her ethnicity matters to these white men who didn’t find her immediately obedient or docile or worshiping or whatever their fantasies and expectations might have been. As far as we — the public — know, the real batshit crazy stuff from both her father and from Morgan came out when Meghan would not do what they wanted her to do for them and publicly “belonged” to not only another white man, but to another white man with demonstrably higher status. Make that MUCH higher status. I obviously can’t read their minds, but the behavior of both men has looked like narcissistic rage. Signed: another intelligent, attractive, direct woman of color who has had more than one man act horribly — seemingly out of nowhere. It’s very confusing, noxious behavior, especially since, for me, at least, I didn’t understand until the second time I encountered such really off behavior (from a near stranger whose role was supposedly to help me navigate a new, professional environment) that it really was not about me. Or rather, that it really was not about me as a person, and possibly quite a lot about what they wanted and expected from “someone LIKE” me. And there is a whole history of colonialism behind those expectations and fantasies. |
I think this has happened to every woman. |
You are pathetic. What do you know about all other people? Just speak for yourself. |
| He quit. He didn’t get fired. Google it |
Sure he did. |
Hi! White woman here, middle aged. Definitely not the same thing we experience. My female friends of color have had to negotiate all manner of stereotypes that I've never had to deal with. i found this out only a few years ago and honestly did not see it until they shared. Like many women I have been mansplained, leered at, questioned and ignored in the workplace. But there is a whole other layer, even layers that they face. Saying "I think this has happened to every woman", whether you mean it to or not, negates their feelings, experience and reality. |

I think this is SO true. I had a naive belief that the British were more civilized than us Americans, but then I started reading their tabloids a few years ago and was shocked by how disgusting they are. It’s like the Enquirer but there are bunches of them and a very high readership. Gross. Between that an UKIP/Brexit, I realize there is just as much idiocy over there as here. Maybe more. |
DP here. Yes, it's happened to every woman, but there's the intersection of multiple protected classes (classes that many people deem "less than" which is why they're protected) that make some men feel even more entitled to have women behave the way they want them to. I'm a female who experienced extremely heightened workplace harassment (at multiple workplaces) when I became disabled. My disability, or another woman's race, is just another reason that many men (and women) believe that they're better and that we don't really deserve our place, so we should be grateful to even be there and do what they want. It's not a victim competition, and some healthy, white women may be harassed far beyond what a disabled or black woman may be, but we also need to recognize that a woman of color can experience a double whammy of discrimination due to being a member of two marginalized groups. I don't even like Harry and MM, but this Piers Morgan guy is gross. |
They only met in person one time. |

If he hadn’t walked off I would have defended him. Free Speech is a good hill to die on. He has a right to not believe anything Meghan Markle said or says. I don’t believe a word she says.
But he needs to be able to take it if he dishes it out. Walking off the set was pathetic. |
| When you feel the need to say that "I am not a racist" maybe take a moment and reflect on why others think that you are. Recognize your privilege and your inhumanity. |

Too funny. As soon as the co-host said Meghan had “cut off” Piers, Piers huffs out. He’s clearly mortified that the world knows she ghosted him. But he’s made it so much worse with his very public vendetta against her! He has some issues, to say the least. |
