Yes, they used to be gossipy chums and she'd come into town and they'd meet up for a pint and dish about the who's who of Britain and the ins and outs of Hollywood. It doesn't appear that they dated at all. It wasn't that. It was that he enjoyed the flattery of her wanting to be in his company and he was a big shot. At the time, HE was a big deal. And suddenly, she got her in with Harry and ghosted Piers like yesterday's news. He got his feelings hurt, but in a monstrous way. His attitude wasn't sadness, it was "how dare you treat me like YOU aren't good enough for ME you big fraud!" So instead of moving on, he made it his mission to "expose" her, but it only made him look more and more petty.

He met her ONE TIME and she never returned his phone calls. He’s been a bitter, jealous, obsessed a-hole ever since. The amount of time he spends talking and tweeting about her borders on stalkerish psycho insanity. He seems to think about her every waking minute while she probably barely remembers the dinner.

I hadn't seen that weird psycho article someone posted above, where he was "ghosted" by her.

DOES HE THINK THEY WENT ON A DATE???? This is like the weirdest revelation. It all of a sudden it all makes sense why he hates her so much. I never knew they used to be "friends" but he thinks they were on a date, doesn't he?

I’m the one who posted the article Piers wrote about her in 2018. Maybe I am naive but I didn’t read it like he was a scorned would-be lover at all. I did read it like he read the situation as they were both B-listers and he fashioned himself a bigger celebrity than she was (and he was basically laying out the idea that she agreed with this assessment with her “I’m a big fan” pm to him and the fact that she contacted him when she was in London to meet up for drinks. And he was perfectly happy to be used by her for his celebrity status because she’s cute and a semi-successful actress at that time. He thought they were schmoozing name-dropping social-climjng friends together and he was on the the higher rung of the ladder of the climb.
Then suddenly she meets Harry. And realizes a connection to a smarmy morning show Daily Mail guy like Piers is actually going to hurt that budding relationship with a royal. So she dropped him. What Piers won’t acknowledge is that this was not a loss for her. They were barely connected. They were t friends. They were friendly for mutual benefit. And his ego was hurt bc she ghosted him. So what? People are ghosted all the time. He just can’t get over it.

He's acting like a spurned lover -- although I'm pretty sure he was married at the time. Even from his descriptions it sounds more like a friendly / professional meet-up when she happened to be in the same city. They met face to face for the first time, then she went off with friends. Then I guess he had some kind of expectations or feelings and has been running his mouth full of nastiness ever since. He seems obsessed and full of hatred. I wonder what his wife makes of it?

It's sick how he turned full throttle just because she used to text him, met him in person once, and then started dated someone. It doesn't compute. The "punishment" doesn't fit the "crime." He felt something for her, there is no question in my mind, and he totally feels rejected. There would be no other reason to have that level of hatred directed at someone you (a complete sexist a-hole) met one time, so much so you write a whole article about it, blind to how humiliating it looks for you. So utterly bizarre.

He's obviously sexually obsessed with her and has been for years. According to his own description of their interactions, he "liked Suits" and slid into her DMs. She met up with him for drinks once while in London, which he often describes in blow by blow action, from what she drank to following her out to the taxi. He thought it was a date.

He wanted a piece of that sweet American milk chocolate. She probably realized that because he's sexually aggressive (go look at what he tweeted for international women's day-- and look up articles about how he asked female guests about who they've slept with).
