I wouldn’t call what Alex did an attack, although I would call much of the little that I’ve seen of Piers’s “work” attacks. So my takeaway is that: you reap what you sow. Piers chose to walk away after getting called out —politely and directly— on his behavior. I guess another takeaway could be that one of the few valuable things Piers has done is to illustrate the effectiveness of standing up to bullies — even, or maybe even especially, in the workplace.
