I need to be out of the house all day and busy to do it. Right now I am at home and no chance I am not goin to eat all day.

Once my body adjusted to it, I wasn't hungry at all and since you can eat what you want, it is quite enjoyable.

This summer I was so careful with what I ate (1200 cal) and added 2 miles to my daily walk and only lost 8 lbs in 6 weeks. Omad gave me great results!

But 8 pounds in 6 weeks is very good. You really shouldn’t lose more than 1% of your body weight on a week.

I agree with this (esp when you are already close to goal weight) but if the poster was very overweight it is reasonable to want to lose faster)

I have gained weight these past six months. The one time I did OMAD, I lost a lot of weight and, once I got used to it, I wasn't hungry.

I hate counting calories so I just simplified it: every other day, OMAD was a regular meal but no dessert. On the other day, my OMAD was more like a fast- I just had low-cal veggie soup.

So you only ate one meal every two days?

Doesn’t anyone on this board see how disordered this is? Or how it’s leading to disorder?

Whatever works. Why do people seem to think if you're not stuffing your face all day (regardless of whether you are actually hungry) that you must be starving yourself and disordered. If eating that way works for her and she's not having any adverse health effects and she's not hungry & miserable, what's the problem? There are lots of studies that show the positive effects of fasting. Of course people can go overboard but OP said herself she is just using it as a reset. Granted there are probably better ways to eat in terms of long term sustainability but nothing wrong with what OP is doing.

Ill join. My nickname is Raven. I do IF but being at home and with hitting menopause, i have put on 15 lbs since March. Im also going to go back into the office from tomorrow onwards just to keep myself away from all the food at home.

I'll join, I need to lose 30 pounds and need a jump start to motivate myself. Also got myself a fitbit so I can start forcing myself to be more active.

According to David Sinclair (Harvard professor/Longevity specialist) this is the healthiest way to eat.

OP here. Hi Raven!

I'm getting myself psyched up for tomorrow. I've been living it up this week in anticipation of starting tomorrow, which also means this first week will be hard. Usually after the first week, I adjust. It's definitely easier to be out of the house, which with virtual school, isn't going to be happening much. Fingers crossed.

Hi OP. I actually went into work yesterday to kick off my OMAD. Packed a very light lunch (salad. some fruit) and only ate at dinner. Probably not OMAD but at least a start.
WFH today so will be tougher.
I trying to up my steps as well

Ok. I’ll try. It’s almost 1:00 and I haven’t eaten. I’ll see if I can make it til early dinner. Did have some milk in my tea though. Nickname will be Geeza. How are you doing today OP?

OP here. Hi Geeza. It's 2pm and I'm holding strong. It's kind of ridiculous how much easier this is when you stay busy. I notice I'm hungry only when I am not doing anything. The first week is the hardest! I look forward to the results. I even did lunges in my daughter's bedroom while she did schoolwork. I'm going to have to be mindful of not bingeing during my window.

Raven, you there?

OP here again. Day 1 done. I had about a 110 minute window. On to Day 2!

I’m in. Nickname: Mimphis. Eating window was 5:50pm to 7:05pm.

Being transparent, I’ve been doing OMAD since April, so I’m pretty used to this. My usual window is 6pm to 830pm.

Hey Mimphis, op here. Tells us how it has been! I have done IF on and off, but never OMAD consistently. I realized that to lose weight without calorie counting, I needed to reduce.my.eating window, so I'm hoping this works. I'd love to hear how it's been for you.

Good job everybody! I'm tagging along even though I'm doing 2 meals a day.
