Something about the dynamic is weird. Why in the world would you start running from anyone if it's broad daylight?
Metro booth workers are not there to be security. Why would a Metro worker protect someone and potentially get themselves involved? This person is not telling the whole story. What did she say to them? |
Some of those girls make a lot of money. 6 figures a year. |
Also, since Shady Grove is in MD, there would be no DC police arriving at the station. I don't believe the story either. |
Have we reached a point in our society where people must be adequately compensated to care about others or to show common decency?! |
Yes but a bulk of that money is spent on drugs to compensate for the low self esteem required to work in the porn industry. |
Metro employees are quite well paid for what they do. Indeed the compensation structure and union contract rules contribute significantly to Metro's financial woes and management challenges. |
Other than janitors, which metro jobs are unskilled? Bus and train operators require a CDL license and the ability to get along with a nasty and demanding public. The plumbers, electricians, elevator and escalator techs are skilled. Which positions at metro that you interact with require no skills? Please understand there is a difference between being good with the required skills and unskilled. |
Yep. |
| I don't understand why metro operators should act as police and possibly put themselves or the security of others in harm's way by letting this woman into the booth? Was he supposed to get out and hit those women on behalf of the victim? |
Where did you read shady grove? |
| I have a similarly bad metro story. To this day I am surprised I wasn't more seriously hurt or killed. Fuck metro. |
this would be the Georgia avenue Petworh stop, so why would you run underground. That area is fully congested with stores and police everywhere. |
No where in the story does it say shady grove or DC police. |
exactly. Besides the story doesn't make sense. |
By that logic, everyone is skilled. Hairdressers, secretaries, etc. I agree that electricians and plumbers need schooling, but bus and train operators are taught on the job and the job pays for their CDL. The metro station managers are glorified greeters. |
