It's apparent from your post that if nothing else, our educational system needs to be redesigned. For starters, the proper use of apostrophes and the difference between manor and manner. I'll give you a pass on the misspellings - those can happen to anyone, especially those who have an incomplete grasp of the language in the first place. Holy shit. |
Aha, OP here, I am happy to see someone else noticed the flaw in this proposal. Also what would be the status of all those children on green card holders. Would they just get green cards, which as you know is a residency permit not an entry permit - or woud you create a new category just for them. |
Answer my questions and I'll be pleased to answer yours.

-Your child would be classified as a citizen of whatever country you are from. -He would become an American if and when you decide to do the same or at age 18, he would become a US citizen. (There could be a special provision that minor children whose parents entered the US legally and hold continual legal status, would automatically be granted US citizenship at age 18.) |
12:07 here. As I mentioned to another pp, a special provision could be put in place: Minor children whose parents entered the US legally and hold continual legal status, would automatically be granted US citizenship at age 18. |
Ok, that could work, but what happens if a parent commits a crime and get deported (green card holders can be deported) before the child turns 18. Also, would these children be eligible for the presidency? Would you reinterpret the meaning to "natural-born citizen". |
FUCK YOU asshole, my assistants write reports for me |
|
You fail, by mentioning fox news. You have been outed as libtarded |
Why do you have no interest in being american? Are you not here for a better life? Again this is an example of wanting free shit but not being part of the society that offers these benefits and ideals. |
Thanks for the responses.
I have no desire to become American because I was born and raised elsewhere and live here just due to the circumstances. I do want to go back one day and don't want my child to be forced to live somewhere which is not their home. Also, the fact that I have to give up my citizenship from my country of origin is a huge turn off. I don't mind being sent home if you guys declare war against us but I'd die if I was not allowed back home for such reason. It's funny how you're forcing my citizenship on my child when he has never been there for more than 3 months in his entire life. My child is American. Born and raised here. You like it or not. If this "law" was in place a few decades back would your parents or grandparents be impacted or they were all native americans?

Why would you wait until the child is 18 to grant citizenship? It doesn't make sense to me at all. |
Not all of us give a shit about grammar and writing, most of the newer generation (Who is taking all the high tech jobs) don't need that. So jokes on you . We'll be done with our work while you old farts are still proofreading the first email reply you read 4 hours a go. |
No they wouldn't, until the age of 18 the parents are responsible for the children and it is under their actions. They shouldn't commit a crime while being a green card holder knowing that it will revoke their kid's ability to become a citizen. Why is it ok for permanent residence to commit a crime and not get deported? they should be on their best behavior. |
Free? I pay more taxes and have lower salaries than an American doing the same job. I have a life as good as I had back home. I don't intend to stay here any longer than needed so that's why I have no interest in giving up my citizenship to become American. |
