s/o Redraft the 14th Amendment to Fix the "Anchor Baby" Issue

For those of you who think that "anchor babies" are such a plague on our society, please tell me how you would redraft the 14th amendment to address the issue.

Add in that birth right can only occur if at least 1 parent is a citizen.

You know that anchor babies don't exist anymore, right?

Now, even if a foreigner has a baby here, for her to stay legally she has to have a visa or a permanent resident card. And the child can only sponsor it after their 18Th bday.

I'd like to see free access for ALL in the U.S. -- provided they work and keep a clean record. Bring back the penal colonies. Deport anyone, regardless of birthplace, who refuses to work. I will find work for every single person living here. To refuse to find your own job or do the one society finds for you is grounds for revocation of citizenship.

Why not just have one parent be a legal permanent resident? You do realize how long it takes to become a citizen, even when you are here legally?

giving free shit away without the the parent's paying into the system is NOT logical. You can't bleed out more than you take in especially with poverity income and benifit disbursements. The parent's have no intention of getting out of poverty nor can they because they are illegal so everyone else is paying to raise them. Our welfare and low income system wasn't designed to take this type of load, it will need to be redesigned if illegals continue to be supported in this manor.

Not pp you are quoting, but I say No. Their babies can be legal permanent residents, too. Once the parents become citizens, their children automatically get the same status.

I've been here for 15 years and have no interest in becoming an American. OTOH, my child was born here and raised in your soil. I pay taxes and US is my child's home. Why do you think he should not be considered American? What is he then?

Why do you live here, but have no desire to become a citizen (I'm assuming that's what you mean by "becoming an American")? And why would you want your child to be one?

I'd add that you guys should have your citizenship revoked if a foreigner spotted bad grammar or orthography when you write in your own language.
