Sorry for my ignorance. What does that mean?

Hate all you want on Philips Park, the houses are amazing, the neighborhood is nice, and it is close to everything. If you can afford it its where you want to be. Some of the most powerful people in the world live there.

River Road out by Potomac has some of the most ostentatious and vulgar houses I have ever seen in my life.

I can't believe someone would use the word "Paki" on this site. I'm uncomfortable even having just typed it. I'm honestly pointing this out because I'm wondering if the person knows how degrading this word is, to people from Pakistan and others who are not bigots. Please do not use it.

Damn brown people, trying to improve their situation!

I was on River Road way out towards Falls Rd yesterday and drove by a mansion that looked like it should be in Miami. Whoever built this strange pink stoned with white roof house right on river needs to move it Miami. It looks terrible there I mean complete eye sore. Its got to be new money bc no one in their right mind would have built that with some taste. Oh and there are GIANT EAGLES on the gate to the property.

Also saw some massive homes being built out there. Huge land out there but way too far for me. If I had money I would never live out that far!

What on earth would you know about class? You are one white sheet away from full on racism.

Ugh let me back up before this gets out of hand. I didn't invent the term, I was only reusing it. In England people from the Indian sub continent are called Pakis. I didn't mean to be or sound racist, just trying to paint a picture. I apologize to the forum.

English person here. Let me be clear than the only people in the UK who would ever use that term would be racists. It is not an acceptable term there, and is extremely offensive.

They live on 20016 and think that living in that zip makes them moneyed (even though many are new and in hoc).

Are you serious? Fugly, tacky, horrid eyesore. Yes, some of the houses, if moved to a neighborhood where they would fit in, and if spaced appropriately apart from the next house, would look nice. But as a whole that has to be some of the worst new construction I've seen.

That Philips Park, well it is hard to look more nouveau suburban development in DC than that.

Not only is there a "master plan" of fine new construction but several have interesting features.

If you look through the pictures, there is one with a tall tower with tiny windows that may be hiding Rapunzel.

You do realize that using the term McMansion makes you jealous, petty and shallow right? You therefor have absolutely no hopes of ever getting invited into one
