| I probably know somebody who does but they haven't told me. |
| Not very common. Most people don't have the energy to do that after work and childcare and homecare. |
Late 30s. |
25% of adults in the USA have tried it at some point during their lifetimes, according to studies. Open marriages and swinging are not widespread, with current estimates suggesting around 4-5% of U.S. adults are currently involved in a regular basis in consensual non-monogamy (CNM), which includes open relationships and swinging, though many more have explored it at some point during their lifetimes. While these are minority lifestyles, they are more common than often thought, with roughly one in 25 couples currently participating in CNM. |
| I know of just one couple that swings. Christian conservatives by day, freaks by night. |
How do you know? |
| I have no idea in this area. Early in our marriage we did it once on vacation and neither of us enjoyed seeing the other having sex. Never again. We lived in California for a few years and I definitely felt there were couples into it. |
| Probably more so on west coast but not that uncommon. When we were swingers we ran into quite a few people we knew from our vanilla world at swingers events. But with young people now they are probably all swingers everyone is so fluid with relationships and genders |
| It’s not uncommon. I move in those circles so know lots of people who swing or are poly/enm/open, but most of them give no outward sign of it outside of lifestyle events. |
Everyone has likely tried it once at least. For it to be a regular thing, it's quite rare. Estimates around 2-5% of couples at most. |
| More people probably dabble or try it than actually make it lifestyle. |
|
It's exactly as common as you think it is because people in "The Lifestyle" never stfu about it.
p.s. they're always ugly |
| Well, I was never asked...does this mean..."I'm ugly"? : ) |
Most never talk about it. |
