I wake up every two hours. What do you take to sleep?

Ashwaghanda- I've take it in pill form.

I do chamomile tea or Nighty Night Extra tea with valerian to get 7-8 hours of sleep.

Not OP here: I’ve been on HRT for 2 months now and am still waking up a lot. I thought it would be life changing but I am very disappointed

Give it a little more time. I don’t think I saw results until 5 months or so.

My doctor, who manages my HRT, suggested I take the progesterone at night. This works well, and I sleep through the night every night.

What kind are you on?

I use the estrogen patch and take progesterone as a pill before bed. If you are taking a combo pill or not taking progesterone at night before bed, then that might be why you can't sleep.

How do you find someone to prescribe it on a routine basis? I felt so rested when I was taking it but no dr will refill it.

I used to have a doctor who routinely gave me a 30-day supply. I only took them a couple days a week and ended up with extra. I go through periods where I have insomnia and then do better. I still have some left from five years ago. I think they still work ok when I take them on occasion.

What dose are you on? The 100mg progesterone wasn’t enough to help my sleep. I didn’t get a benefit until I increased to 200mg about 3 months in. Now my sleep is great.

Try training your bladder and not drinking much after dinner. I used to get up every 2 hours, pee, drink, sleep, repeat. Now I get up at 1 or 2 and don't pee again until 6 or 7. If I wake I do not get up to pee.

Accept that it’s totally normal and expected and not something to give any thought at all to.

Sleep is an expectations game.

that would make me pee a lot in the middle of the night

Not op, but i used to have the same problem. It is partially hormonal. I try not to drink much after 7.30 pm. Otherwise I end up going to the bathroom alot in the middle of the night.

Try the magnesium, and exercise. Being outdoors for a time helps too but I hardly go outside in the summer.

I think that is what is making me depressed. I wfh and despise this weather.

I didn't take anything, but my noticeable symptoms only lasted about 5 months.
