Melatonin isn't good long term.
Magnesium and THC |
+1. The difference is shocking. |
| You might want to get tested for sleep apnea. Mine is mild but I woke up every two hours. Thought it was back pain. On CPAP and regularly sleep 6-8 hours without waking. My problems started when I was 50. |

HRT with progesterone. I never wake up at night. The doctor recommended I take the progesterone at night before bed.

| intensive exercise and / or 15k steps daily |
+1. You'll need to have detailed notes about your sleep patterns, how long this has been going on. |
This or even less. 1/8 like a dusting but its enough to calm down the intense feeling of overtiredness/insomnia. |
This is the answer, OP. |
+1 Also, use the original Benedryl. |
Can't take it for more than a week. |
| trazodone |
| Progesterone and Melatonin, although THC or CBD work well, too. |

I’m interested in the Tylenol suggestion. I hadn’t heard it can help with sleep (assuming not the PM kind).
Magnesium is part of my cocktail, but I have to take occasional breaks from it as it can make me feel very groggy during the day. |
I'm the Tylenol poster. No not PM, just regular. Years ago my doctor told me it had an anti-anxiety off-label use, but because it can't be mixed with alcohol, no one promoted it. I keep 2 on my bedside table, loose so I don't have to wake up and open the bottle. I'm asleep within 20 min after taking. |
